Poll: Timing of 1st Beta for FET

Hi ladies,

I'm currently in the 2ww and am starting to obsess over timing of my 1st beta and wanted to know your thoughts. We transferred two 6-day frosties last Wednesday (1/22) and I'm not scheduled for my beta until Monday (2/3). Maybe I'm just overthinking it, be shouldn't I be able to get a beta on Friday, 1/31 which would be 9 days past 6 day transfer?

FYI, I'm going in tomorrow for a progesterone check so I was thinking I would ask to move it up to Friday. While I'm somewhat tempted to take a HPT, I don't think I can handle seeing a seeing stark white line...and would rather wait for a definitive beta. WWYD? Thanks in advance!!

Me: AMA, DOR, undetectable AMH, carrier of SMA, MTHFR homozygous C677T, high cytokines, low IGg B cells, Factor XIII V34l mutation, High Anti-Phosphatidylethanolmine, borderline hypothyroid and mildly insulin resistant.

 

MH: No known issues, aside from MTHFR.

 

Recommendations from RI: LIT, Humira, IVIG, Lovenox, Baby Aspirin, Folic Acid, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin.

 

Currently taking:  Pre-Natal vitamins, Foltanx, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin. 

 

When cycling also taking: Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, Humira and IVIG.

 

TTC since 7/11/09..with medical intervention starting in 2010, including 4 failed IVF's and 6 failed IUI's...only "success" was a chemical pregnancy in 11/2012 (credited to use of DE).

FET #1 (11th cycle) on 8/23/13 = BFN.

FET #2 (12th cycle) Transfer of last two (day 6) donor egg blasts on 1/22/14 = BFP, EDD = 10/10/14 (please stick little BOY!)

    It never hurts to ask. My office agrees that they can get a positive beta 6 days after 5dt. So that's when they have me come in. It scares me to see such low numbers but they really like to monitor me close so they have me do it that way. I prefer to find out before they do and test at home in my bathroom and pretend in a "normal" pregnant lady for a second but good for you for holding out! Good luck!

    I've never had an FET but it seems like frozens take a little longer to implant so that is my guess why they put you to Monday. My clinic wants a beta at 10dp5dt. I went a day early bc my local place was closed.

    TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
    DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
    DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE

    All of my betas were 9dp5dt (14dpo in 'theory') however my one FET was a 6-day and they agreed to do the beta 8dp6dt - still equivalent of 14dpo).

    For me, I couldn't not POAS. I did every time. I could never wait, and never wanted "that call" without some sense of what was coming. I did treat POAS as just a ticket to the next round - that is I never thought it meant I was definitely pregnant...I only had one total BFN but I knew before that call which for me was better than 'that call"; I also had a c/p, but the line was not getting darker so I had a sense of that ahead of time too... For me, the anxiety of that wait was worse than seeing the stark white.

    Each time, I got my BFP on 5dpt - even the 6-day one. This time it was SUPER light though. But it got darker, and I stopped POAS the night before beta, and then just relied on betas after that.

    Good luck with whatever you decide! We're all different - but for me, the anxiety of waiting for beta was too much. FX for you!!!!

    Mine are always 10dp5dt regardless of fresh or frozen. My clinic doesn't distinguish that they want to see >50 at that time.

    My betas were usally 9 days post transfer, and with my FET it was a 7. But even my RE told me to be prepared that 7 was way too early, but they wanted to monitor me more since I had an hcg shoot day of transfer.

    And ditto I either POAS the day before beta and/or after beta. I waited it out with the 7 day... But was a POAS addict during beta hellll...

    April 2013 DE IVF= BFN

    September 2013 DE IVF (Fingers Crossed) = BFFFN! again...

    October 2013 FET of our last 2 = Beta Hellzz for 6-7 Weeks. M/C

    We use the same clinic, if I remember right....  10dp5dt for me too.
     36 DH 33 TTC for over 3 years
    First mini-IVF Sept 2011... Only 1 egg! ... BFN
    Switching RE
    IVF#2 May 2012 9 eggs and only 2 sperm, WTH!

    Sorry you have to wait so long. My beta was 9dp6dt. They never said what number they were expected to see- but they made sure to tell me mine was low. I started getting positive HPT about 6 days after the FET. I think you would get a fairly accurate result if you POAS on Friday.

    With my last transfer which was a FET it was 8dpt but that was only because they could not do nine since it landed on a sat.

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    Well, when I asked the nurse yesterday, she said beta fell on a Saturday (16dpo) so that is why they just moved it to the following Monday. The extra couple of days just feel like torture, LOL.
