How do you manage to get a "totally unexpected bfp" when you're actively TTC with no known problems?
I just really thought we were out this cycle, thought for sure I that AF was coming at any moment. I also had gotten several BFNs (including the day before with FMU). My BFP's were not done with FMU so I definitely expected them to be negative (even if I was pregnant). I just didn't think this was our cycle. Of course I knew it was a possibility, but I had pretty much moved past the idea already and just accepted that AF was coming.

Then why were you testing?
Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.

Why does it matter? I'm sure there are lots of people that test expecting negatives. I had lots of pee sticks in my closet, that I knew would otherwise be sitting there indefinitely since we decided to stop TTC for an undetermined amount of time. Figured "why not" and did it on a whim.
Seriously though, why does it concern/ bother you so much?
I wasn't expecting to get a BFP this cycle. And was even more surprised after just having come to terms with the fact that we weren't going to TTC for a while.
Re: Totally unexpected... BFP!
