Well, I didn't want to say it too soon, but I think that I can officially say that my little man and I are officially EBF! For the first three weeks of his life he latched only a handful of times. At four weeks he started to latch a few times a day and then progressed to doing it every time!
I had totally accepted that I would most likely be an exclusive pumper. It was hard, but I wanted to do it and was starting to feel better about it. I am actually grateful for the experience because I feel like I can relate to the many mother's out there who don't have the option to breastfeed.
That being said, I am very happy that LO is nursing now. It isn't the easiest thing in the world and after pumping for a few weeks it now drives me crazy that I can't see how much he's getting, but I'm so thankful that it has worked out and I'm loving every minute of it!
