Mil is here and always expects to be entertained and doesn't help out with things. I have to pump, take a shower, wash bottles, etc. And she showed up 2 hrs early. I yelled hello but haven't gone in. She prob thinks I'm being rude but I have shit to do.

I hear ya. I was 2 weeks PP after a c/s when my mil came for a week. I cooked every meal, cleaned everything, did bath time with 3yo DS and for LO. She sat back and fretted she wasn't getting enough time - well, get off your ass and do something and don't spend 2+ hours getting ready (to stay inside all day) and engage with your grand kids... But it's mil so it is difficult to say anything. Towards the end I kind of gave her "assignments" with the kids but still no offer to make any of the meals or do any of the dishes...

Ugh that is so frustrating! I would have gone crazy after a week. Every time she comes too we have to order food. She doesn't bring food or offer to make anything either!

Ugh I hear you. My MIL called at 10 last night wanting to come over and see the kids... she is way more work than help and she is uncomfortable with me BFing and I pretty much give no Fucks when I'm nursing or pumping in my house.

Try two weeks

I had enough the other day when I did some nappy off time with LO. Eventually he lost the plot and I took him into the nursery to feed, took nearly two hrs to settle him. I come back out into the lounge and there's MIL and FIL watching tv in front of the dirty nappy I took off LO. His play mat has moved so I thought great at least they gave that a wipe down after he did a wee on it, no, just moved it.

Ugh that would drive me. At almost 9 weeks PP so far the only people who have actually helped when they've visited have been my dad and step mom, the rest just stayed for hours to stare at the sleeping baby when I could have been napping or getting shit done, so frustrating.

Yup I even just said I'm gonna do the dishes real quick and she didn't offer! Also we had to make her food yet again. No offers from her to make or pick up anything. Wtf. Lol
