I'm pretty sure I did this in my sleep because I just woke up, having overslept by over an hour. But I clearly woke up at some point to make sure I posted this. I'm not sure if that's a win or a fail.
I looked at the see kai run shoes yesterday....I couldn't find a pair I didn't think were ugly.
There were only a few pairs that I would even consider. Uo: I don't like Velcro shoes for kids. My kid's feet are too thick for anything but Velcro. Plus the Velcro entertains him, so win-win.
What else is there for kids besides Velcro straps? I'm sure as he'll not struggling with an actual lace up shoe that my daughter would then become obsessed with untying.
I don't put Millie in shoes because she keeps losing them when we're out. DH found a pair of super tight sweater slippers and she wears them when we have to go outside.
I got an ipad mini for Christmas but not a case so I've been carrying it around in its box ever since. I finally ordered a case Wednesday so I can stop being a nerd.

I made the mistake of buying Jasper a pair of lace up boots. They're cute as can be but a pain in the dick to put on. We have 'car shoes' aka slippers that we put on him anytime we go somewhere that doesn't require shoes, including the library.
B is in 7's and quickly growing out of those. He has velcro & lace up but the lace up are for dress shoes. Everything else is velcro. He actually keeps them on in the car but when he's going to daycare or my mom's he wears no shoes at all. Too much of a PITA when he's not going to be walking outside.
My FFFC's:
I'm wearing maternity jeans today. I can fit in prepreg jeans but I've got this pooch that's driving me nuts! The maternity jeans smooth it out rather than cut it in half like the other jeans I have. Besides they make my ass look fantastic. More motivation for me to not eat all the things.
My grandma has been on a roller coaster ride since being diagnosed with bone cancer in September. Right now we're at the bottom. She's in so much pain she can't even function and weighs a mere 80 lbs. She's 86 years old. I just wish she would go. I hate seeing her like this and it's no way to live.

Yah, once you get that case you will totally stop being a nerd :-\" ;;) :-*

I spent so much time on here yesterday that I had to work from 8-11 after W went to bed.
I am justifying it because we're moving our company next week and I might disappear for a week or month.
I really want to constantly talk about the building finishes I chose with everyone IRL because I'm so excited. Turns out nobody gives a fuck about what flooring and design features you put in to a commercial building. I mean, my other convo topics are work and kid, so they're in a lose-lose situation.
I just made it sound like I talk to ALL of these franz. Now I'm dying laughing because it's pretty much my husband and sister. And every two weeks a call from a friend. Hahahahahah
You can share with me! I kind of nerd out over that stuff.
Sweet! I wish I had known that, cause I would have consulted you for opinions haha. I'll have some pics in a couple weeks once we're moved in. I did a couple things the builders were like WTF over, haha. I was nervous, but it all looks awesome. You know, as awesome as a work building can look with the budget that google spent on their broom closet.
Ok, so what does a person DO with an autographed anything of anyone? I'm not going to put that on the wall, or in a frame? Do you have a space dedicated to souvenier kind of crap? Because that's what it is to me - crap. Crap that looks ugly to display, but just takes up space and becomes a dustable.
Probably nothing. It'll probably go in my jewelry box. That's it.
I have a lunch interview today at a popular lunching restaurant. I am secretly hoping my boss sees me and it makes him pull his head out of his ass!
I'd be more worried that he would see you and realize that he really doesn't need you.
I think, in general, people have a misconception about how 'needed' they are in their current position. Obviously this is not the case for all people - some definitely are harder to replace. But a lot of people seem to think that they should threaten to find a new job or say that they are looking, so that their job will suddenly see everything so clear, and beg them to stay or treat them better.
Nope. More often than not, I think it makes a company say "OK, see ya." You're better off having a sit down conversation with your boss/whoever, to discuss your concerns and unhappiness.
Yup. At my company (which is not a good company, anyway) if you tell them that you are looking, they find a way to push you out within a week. That's a bit more extreme than most companies, but still - it does happen.
I was a smoker for years. I never once smoked while taking a walk. I don't even get that. I also only smoked in designated outdoor areas at bars. I'm a rule follower.
My FFFC: I'm embarrassed by how often I put hats on my cats. Nancy keeps finding them in the cat toys and bringing them to me and saying "Mae Mae" over and over for Mavis (nice cat) so I'll put the hat on again. Then she laughs hysterically, so it's totally worth it. In all fairness, I do give them treats after I make them look ridiculous.
I have a FFFC. It's going to sound shitty, but whatever.
I have had periods of time where I have legitimately felt jealous of my daughter. My husband's heart doesn't seem to have grown to accommodate loving me and our child, but he has replaced his love for me with his love for her. Not all of it, but enough that there is a noticeable difference.
@Pokedot I am sorry to hear about your grandma. I hope she feels at peace.
Thank you. It's been a tough couple of months for our whole family. At this point we're all exhausted and so is she. It's never easy saying someone should let go but her finding peace is exactly what she needs. She's seen her priest (very religious) and I think she's come to terms with what's happening. It's so hard seeing her in this state. Wednesday all she was saying was "help, help, help". It broke my heart.

FFFC: I'm not sorry that I've never seen an episode of Dr. Who. I do not find David Tennant in the least bit attractive. I do however want to comb his pretty hair.
See, this is the thing. In my company, I am needed. My department will fall apart without me, and we are the base for the whole company. I don't care how it sounds, it is true. I am the only person here with the knowledge that I have, and it is well known. I personally train every new hire, and then am the point person throughout their employment here.
But - my company (the CEO really - we are a small company run by one money hungry man) is more concerned with pride than caring about anyone else.
Re: FFFC
We just discovered this 3 weeks ago and its.the.best.thing.ever.

Also, I love Elvis. I have been to Graceland. And I walked down the Aisle to Fools Rush In (Can't Help Falling Love With You).
