She was doing a good 8-9 hour stretch before she got sick.....I'm pretty sure the antibiotics caused amnesia and now she can't remember how to sleep. Last night she was up every effing hour of the night....ugh
My first didn't sleep through the night till after a year, then when he did it was usually only 10 hours. Since 19 mo he's been waking once or twice more often than not.
This baby slept 11 hours straight most nights from 2 - 5.5 mo. Since then she's been up 2 - 3 times a night.
So I technically answered yes but it's certainly a qualified yes!

We went through that just after Christmas. It took a good 2.5 weeks to get him back on track. Hang in there!
hell to the no. I think his record is five or six hrs a few times. I always thought I had it rough with DS1--but he did a 8 hr stretch at 11 weeks, and by this time he was waking usually only once per night. I average about three per night with DS2.
I don't think so. Back when she was first sleeping through the night (I thought the definition was 6 or more?), I would post about it on Fb. Longest I have on there is 10hrs. 43min.
ha my girl thinks the night is only 6-8 hours long lately, and wakes up a million times during those 6-8 hours. plus 5-6 nights a week she wakes up for a good two hours in the middle of the night. then she takes 2-3 naps a day but they are averaging 20-40 minutes lately. I don't know how either of us are getting by with so little sleep.

I'm in the same boat as Chunky and Asbromle. I might die of exhaustion if I don't get a full night sleep soon.
I haven't slept for more than 3 hours in almost 6 months. Just think how refreshed we'll feel when it happens... We'll be like new people, all nice and lovey and calm and sweet and helpful and awake and fun and bushy eyed and not groggy 24-7

Ditto, how do they do it? I swear H wakes up 15 times a night. I counted once and it was 13 but I feel like it's gotten worse, oh well...won't be forever
This is so frustrating for me because DD1 was sleeping 12 hours at this point. LO's longest stretch she'll give me is 4 hours. I feel like I'm failing her somehow and that's why she's not sleeping longer. I'm so scared she will never STTN. I'm so tired!
I wanted to add that my boys have never needed 11-12 hours a night. Right now they average 7-8 hours. Even as toddlers they only slept 10 hours if they were crazy tired. My kids all take after my husband and just don't need much sleep much to my dismay. I excel at 9 hours, feel like crap at 5-8 hours and get by at less then 5 hours. my body is weird.
this is me.

He has done it before but not consistently at all. Maybe 6 or 7 times. And since he normally wakes 1-2 times a night, when he has STTN I woke up massively engorged and had to get up and pump.
I think calling 5.5 or 6 hours STTN is bull shit. (I'm yelling at the experts, not at the bumpies). I mean, seriously, that is not STTN in my book.
It totally is in my book. When the norm is two hours 5 or 6 is HEAVEN. From 2 to 3.5 months DS slept 5 or 6 and It was amazing. now he gets up about every two hours, and from bedtime to up for the day is usually only about 9 hours.
We have only been two hours EVER. I miss the days of sleep. I know I'm getting mad wrinkles. Oh to be youthful (at least youthful looking and put together would be nice)
My daughter JUST started sleeping through night any where from 8 to 9 hours. I found that if she is not in bed by 7:30pm she is over tired and she wakes more frequent during the night. Her bed time is normally 7:30pm and wake up anywhere from 4:30 to 5:30am.
My husband and I are finally starting to have a night life to talk and cuddle without LO waking up and it feels great
Yes, since the 3rd week until he was 5.5 months... After our trip to Mexico (we live in Holland), he got a bad case of jet lag and he has never STTN anymore, he wakes up at least once...

Not even close. On a really good night we will get one four hour stretch. Other than that we are every 2-3 hours.
This. She slept 7 hours after her 6 month shots, but otherwise, she sleeps no more than 4 hours at a time and wakes up starving. Good thing she's cute!

I would kill for 6 consecutive hours of sleep. It's totally STTN in my book.
I've gotten 2 nights of 7p-6:30a sleep. Most nights he wakes up once, which is totally fine by me. I kind of enjoy our alone time in the MOTN. At least most nights.
Yea, he started sttn at 6 weeks. A bad night of sleep for ds is 10 straight. His longest stretch was last week. A little over 16 hours. A regular night is 13 hours. My mom has already started cross stitching a pillow for me that says ,"you dont deserve him." Referring to ds since I was up every hour until I was over 1 year. I think she was hoping id get the same. Lol

Idk if I should count it. I mean, I got zero of the benefits.
