It stands for "Random Act of Kindness" and it can be anything... a card in the mail, a gift, a phone call... any nice thing that you do for someone else for no specific reason.
Another board I'm on has a "RAK list" of people's mailing addresses so that if someone wants to, they can send a RAK to someone who might need it, or just because.
In order to get the list, you have to be on the list, so it isn't just a randomly ublished document or anything.
I'm willing to organize and maintain a RAK list for the board, if anyone's interested. Send me at email with your info and I'll add you! imlibis at gmail
Re: RP: Do you know what a "RAK" is?
And to answer a question that came up from a couple people who replied already: There's no specific rules to the RAK list, just send stuff whenever! If you see something when you're out and about that strikes you as something someone would like, pick it up and send it! If someone posts that they're having a crappy week, drop a note in the mail. That's all.
It's just those little things to make life a little sweeter! :-)
I like it!
I have had those moments when I'm out and about and see something and think of a nestie.
pssst... It's Lizz, not Libby. Gosh...in all her 31.5 years, I've never heard her called Libby!
anyway... I STILL love the RAK idea.
