ugh-sleep vent

we were doing so well!!! but on Friday LO and I started to get sick. It's the first time he's been sick and I'm just so paranoid... so I went back to having him in the bed with me. I'm afraid I've undone all our hard work! ugh.....

EDIT: in my defense, he's a lot more restless when sleeping now that he's sick. Sleeping with us is the only way we can all get more sleep

    I can't speak from concrete experience but I do believe anything that gets undone will get fixed quickly. It should not be as bad as starting from scratch and you really can not sleep train when the LO is sick so don't beat yourself up.

    Maybe this will make you feel better - my LO also got sick on Friday - DX with a double ear infection. I've actually been sticking her in her RNP in an attempt to sleep. DH did it first and I laughed at him as we haven't used that thing in forever and she barely fits. But then the next night when she WOULD Not sleep I put her in there thinking the elevation would help and low and behold - she slept for 4 hours.

    From my experience sleep is REALLY hard to come by when they are sick so take it anyway you can get it and worry about the rest later.

    We had sleep regression last night too.  I resorted to the swing...which we haven't used in a few months...but we got sleep.
