Who else has a snow day today?

So I guess snow days are completely irrelevant to those of you already with outside babies, but I have one and am psyched about it. DH is staying home since he doesn't want to be so far away in case I go into labor in the middle of a storm. The kids are off too, so we are going to snuggle and maybe go out to lunch and enjoy these last fleeting days as a family of four. I'm just glad I don't have to work! I was running out of things to do and when the federal government closes so does my company- sweet!

Same here! I'm WFH this week, so I technically don't have off, but I don't have to go into the office either. DH is home b/c he doesn't want to leave me alone in case anything happens and DS is off from school. I'm sure it will be the same tomorrow, considering we're suppose to get 11 inches of snow today! SIGH.

I hate winter.

My family back in NJ has a snow day. I just skyped with my sister. You all have been getting a lot of snow this year!!

We have a snow day, and no snow has fallen yet...I feel like the DC area just looks for excuses to stay home!

We're supposed to start getting snow this afternoon and school already announced an early closing so I'll have to get the kids early. And tomorrow will probably be a snow day. Which would be fine if I didn't have a bunch of things to do and if I weren't freaked out about going into labor into a storm. Our streets are the LAST ones to get plowed in our town and we have a super-long and super-steep driveway which can only be plowed by a professional so if we're snowed it I may be have a scary story to tell.

No snow here. DS is at school and I am kidless until it's time to go get him (I babysit). I fully intend to enjoy it too. SO has the morning off but is sleeping after a double last night. The cold is the worst part. I really hate bundling up. Thankfully SO's pea coat is nice and warm and covers the bump.

This!! MH and I work for FCPS. I'm home today but he has to work. At least he's working in a basically empty school today.
Still no snow, though!! I even had a coworker suggest I get a hotel room across from the hospital tonight, just in case.

@litzo27, I'm a little freaked out about this too. As soon as we found out I was due in January, I started envisioning me giving birth in the midst of a snow storm on the side of the road. Here I was trying to coax the baby out all weekend, and now I am telling her to stay in!

I SAH with DD, but all of the local schools are closed. I was having a lot of cramping last night and hoped today might be the day. Now I'm glad it's not after looking outside. Poor DH has to go in to work soon.

Not sure why the picture is sideways, but that is my view for the day.

Snow day for me too! I'm due Jan 30 so my work told me to just work from home until I deliver. The snow just started coming down too! Predicting 14" for us. GUARANTEED this baby decides to come during the worst part of the storm, haha! Good thing we both have AWD vehicles that are fueled up and ready to go!

Today was an early dismissal for the school I teach at. I didn't go in because after having contractions most of last night the idea of driving 30 minutes further from my hospital AND having to deal with bad weather when I got out was not happening this morning. Especially when I was due on Sunday.
