When It Rains...(Bump Break)

We all know the saying.... Well here, it keeps right on pouring.

In the last 13 months we've had: 3 miscarriages, a $3000 vet emergency (kitty lived), DH's grandmother passed away, FIL had a major cancer scare, DS started having major anxiety (complete with attacks) and DH has been out of town for work a lot.

On to today... we get a call that my grandfather is unwell and is being taken to the hospital via ambulance. They suspect he's had a mini stroke, and are now investigating to be sure. If it was a stroke, he'll need surgery to prevent a major stroke. I'm just numb. I grew up without a father, and he's been EVERYTHING to me my whole life. I'm crippled just thinking about losing him, and trying desperately to keep it together. Until I know what's going on with him, I'll be in no place to offer support or even think about TTC. I'll probably pop in and lurk on you ladies, but I won't have the strength for check-ins. I'm just so sorry.

Not that it's a priority now, but I was already down because my long-awaited follow up OB appt for Monday, was rescheduled due to my doc having a family emergency (totally understandable)! They moved me to the first available appt... March 10th! I have an appt with an RE on the 4th of March, and now I'm so glad I went ahead and took that leap or I'd be pissed. Still though, I'm frustrated that this means another couple of cycles without at least trying Clomid or Femara. I'm even more frustrated that appts are so hard to get in my community. (I'm moving on to an RE 8 hrs away). Also, tomorrow we find out if a good friend of mine has cancer. If so, it will be a long road for her, and even more work for DH since he will pick up all of her husbands out of town work too. I'm spread as thin as it gets right now.

Regardless, I hope to be back soon. Truly, I hope the scans come back that my grandfather is a-ok and really was just having a "really good nap", but I suspect this won't be the case. If you have any T&P's to spare ladies... I could really use them.
