cold with mucusy eyes?

Anyone else have this happen with a cold before? Lo has a cold (along with myself and DH). But this am she had some yellow gunk on her lashes. Now its back. Gonna call dr in the am but wanted to check here while I wait to call. Thanks.

    Yes, it could be an infection. DS had this & it was cleared up by antibiotics.

    Or ear infection. My Pedi said when the gunk starts coming out of their eyes that it is likely an ear infection.

    Our LO had the same thing happening this week. We took him to the pediatrician, and it turned out it was a sinus infection.

    Ds2 had that after having a cold and it turned out to be ear infection

    My LO had it coming out of both eyes with virtually no other symptoms except fussiness and it ended up being in a double ear infection. I originally thought it was pink eye, but her eyes never got pink after 3 days and the gunk would come back every time I wiped it. Cleared up easily with antibiotic. Good luck!

    Yup... it was an eye infection for us. The antibiotic drops cleared it up quickly.

    I know they are sick when they "get sick" in the eyes.

    DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)
    5 hysteroscopies/2 surgical
    3 Inject IUIs = 2 m/c's and 1 BFN
    IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
    IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!

    Dh has a sinus infection. LO and I have appts this afternoon. At least we have the day off...stinks its being spent at the doctors office. :(
