  Like @Zoeygirl1105 said, it could be that you just ovulated later than you thought or it took longer to implant. Fx for your next u/s!

  LMP is not super accurate. Even the most regular ovulators often have an off-ovulation once or twice a year. Hang on to the hope. I look forward to reading your positive update.

  When I went to book my first US they told me to wait until about 7 weeks or so so that the heartbeat would for sure be there. They told me it often happens that you can't quite see it if you go between 6 and 7 weeks. FX that it's something like this

  Im in the same boat u/s today thinking I was 6w1d and doc only saw a yolk sac saying I would be now more than 5 wks tops. I got my bfp exactly 4 wks from lmp so im concerned now.

  I agree with pp's you could have ovulated later. I chart and saw that I ovulated 6 days past my projected day so had I not known that I would think that I was over 6 weeks going by LMP when I'm not. FX that 's what it is.

  Same boat. But just because you know you LMP doesn't mean your dates aren't off. It's very possible.
  
  When I went in at 6 weeks they just saw the sac. No fetal pole.
  
  2 weeks later, there he/she was!
  
  Don't worry just yet. Your dates are just off!!

     Me: IR-PCOS, elevated DHEAs, low progesterone, weak ovulation  DH: low volume, low T

  SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.

  What everyone else has said.  LMP is totally not a great indicator for many people.  With DS, I knew when I ovulated, I never O on day 14.  The OB kept indicating that something may be wrong because I was measuring behind.  It was super irritating, but I kept assuring them that I was right on schedule.  Try to stay positive, and let us know how your next u/s goes!

  I'm fairly certain that my LMP and my baby won't match up at my first ultrasound.  I didn't get a positive test until I was 3 days late... I hope something similar is happening for you and your little one is just fine.

  You might be certain about the date of your menstrual period, but you could have ovulated at any time. I'm also certain about when I started my period, but the embryo measured 4 days behind what my due date was based on the start of my last cycle. Also, the time from ovulation to conception and then implantation all can vary greatly.
  
  Don't worry too much about this until your next ultrasound. The fact that they saw the sac and fetal pole is very good!
