What size clothing is your baby in?

I feel like DS is huge, already in 6-9mo clothing. But then he's not THAT big at 14.5+ lbs and 26". DH and I were talking about it because I just bought DS some 12mo stuff that he'll be in pretty soon. Why would an average 4mo be in clothing for 6-9mo? DD was small, and in clothes that matched her age for the most part.

It really just depends on the clothing brand for us, but I put 3-6 months because we only really buy Carter's now and that's the size that currently fits him. We buy Carter's because DS is really long and lean, so the other brands we try don't fit him - due to his length he would probably be wearing 6-9 months in them but they would be baggy because DS is skinny. Did that make sense? Sleep deprivation is rough.

I said 3-6 but we're starting to push it at this point. DS1 was small and his clothing always matched his age. DS2 on the other hand... I was washing the 3-6 clothes when he was a month old. The only reason I haven't switched him yet is that all of DS1'S 6-9 were summer clothes so unfortunately (or fortunately because I love baby clothes) I have to go shopping.
DS2 has hovered at 68% for both height and weight so far. We go to the pedi this week.

LO is mostly in 0-3. She wears a few nb hoodies too, but will be moving up to the next size soon.

DD is 3 1/2 months and wears 6 months, and some 6-9 months. She was 1oz shy of 10lbs when born and has her daddy's height, hence the larger sizes for her. She's in the 90th percentile.

It really just depends on the clothing brand for us, but typically he wears 3-6 or 6 months. LO is long and lean. In Carter's he wears 6 months, but Gymboree he needs 6-9 months for the length.

I said 3-6. DS is mostly in straight 6 months. He has a few 3-6 things he still wears and maybe one 6-9 sleeper but most 6-9s are a bit big.

I voted 6-9 She's only in 9 month because of her cloth diapers. She can fit the 6 month tops fine, but she needs the extra room in the booty area.

I voted 6-9 months but there are a couple 3-6 things that still fit him. He is 18 weeks and weighs just about 14 pounds. He has a long torso so the issue with 3-6 months stuff is that it's usually too short.

Levi will be 5 months next week. He's 17lbs and 25 inches and wears mostly 6 month clothing, and can fit into some 9 month pants depending on the brand.

I voted 3-6 but E is getting close to fitting into 6-9 (or 6-12 in some brands) at 4 months. Some brands fit better than others of course.

DD is 27 mo and 22.5lbs

and DS will probably catch up to her before he's 1. Funny how different kids are, huh?!

E is in 9 months stuff in sleepers and pants because he's long (26 or so inches) and also has long feet, but he's only 14 1/2 lbs. so things are still big width-wise. Shirts, onesies and hoodies and such in 6 mo. still fit fine.

She wears 0-3 onesies and 3-6 pants and sleepers. She is a little over 12 pounds and about 26.5 inches long, so really thin and long.

6m in carters, 3-6 in other brands. If it a short sleeve onesie he's still in 0-3.

Same here exactly for my LO. He has some super chunky thighs that make the snap-up sleepers difficult. Found that sleep sacks are usually the way to go.

Mostly 6 month clothing. She can fit into a couple 3-6 or 9 month onesies/pants, depending on the brand, but most of her closet is 6 month clothing.

She is 3 1/2 months.

I picked these up yesterday. Never seen them before and hope they work. DD has some adorable onesies that she'll be growing out of soon so hopefully these will allow her to wear them for a couple/few more months. Just thought I'd throw that out there incase you're interested?

Marisa is 16wks & only just began fitting her 3mo clothes at about 14/15 wks, and some of them are still quite long in the torso & arms. She's a lean 12.5lbs & 23" long. My petite princess!

Zoe's 4.5 months and is also pretty petite at 12lbs 4 oz. She's tall though at 24 inches so in Carters she only fits in the 6 months. For baby Gap she's 3-6.

For clarification, I think we need to also know who is using disposables and who CD's. That could make a difference in sizing since CD'ing would take more room.

I'm just surprised that there are some babies shorter than DD that only fit in 6 mos clothes and she's still comfy in 3 mos. Could also be different torso vs leg length.

My little munchkin is in 6-9 since the week before Christmas, unless it's from H&M then he's 4-6. He was 26 1/2 inches and 16 lbs 3 oz as of Jan 3rd and we use disposable diapers.

Voted SS: DD is still in some 0-3m separate pieces (onesies, jeans & very few tops). 3m fit well overall & 3-6m are good length-wise just baggy.

ETA she's rockin' 6-12m socks but I wonder how much longer that will work.

I put SS. He is starting to outgrow some 0-3 month clothes but only some 3-6 month clothes fit him. So he is sorta between sizes.

It depends on the brand. For the most part he is in 3-6 or 6-9 month stuff. He was 25" and 15 lbs back on the 2nd.

LO is 20 wks today. 17.4 lbs. He is in 6-9 mo. But pants have to be 9-12 mo bc his belly. But they are kinda long.

I just had to put away all his 3 month onesies and sleepers. He can still wear 3 month pants because he has such short legs but with the cloth diapers we usually put him i 3-6 or 6 months pants and cuff the legs, if they are super stretchy 3 months still work. Everything else is 3-6 or 6 months. He has his 4 month well child visit tomorrow, but he was 13lbs 9oz last month when he was sick, no clue his length.
