Hey ladies,
I had my beautiful baby on 1/16 and I am so in love with her. However vs sharing all the details about Holly Sue I'll let you know a few things that I learned teh second time around:
- Apparently you can have two bags of water. If you do and both aren't broken your induction will take forever! So ladies if it has been 8 hrs since they broke your water and your contractions (with help from Pitocin) aren't intense ask to see if you need to have your bag of waters broken again.
- If your hospital allows you to have clear liquids Popsicle were fantastic! My hospital added the ability to eat Popsicle while laboring and it was awesome. I was starving but the Popsicle made me feel like I was getting something even though I really wasn't.
- If you don't want to wait around all day to be checked out on your last day in the hospital let your nurse know. My nurse was awesome and let the doctor know and she checked me out first since I made the request.
- When nursing your second no one warned me how bad the cramps hurt! The cramps are getting WAY better but be prepared for some rather uncomfortable cramping while you BF your little one if you are STM.
Good luck to the other mommas who have deliveries coming up. My little nugget was 7 lbs 3 oz and 19 inches long. She has a head full of dark hair and is so precious. DD#1 is doing awesome as a big sister. We are enjoying our first day at home as a family of 4.
