  We have Crane humidifiers. DS1 has a frog, DS2 an elephant, and DH and I have the teardrop one for our bedroom. No complaints on the animal ones, but the teardrop one has gotten a little noisy after a year of use.

  We just bought a Honeywell, warm mist, top fill humidifier, and love it. No filters, super quiet, and easy to fill. I would highly recommend it!

  August 2011: BFP #1! M/C @ 5wks
  September 2011 - September 2012: test, after test, after test... S/A, HCG, B/W... Diagnosis: unexplained infertility. Letrozole, Metformin... nothing.
  September 2012: Diagnosed gluten intolerance; now living strict GF diet.
  November 2012: BFP #2! MM/C @ 6wks (discovered at 8wks). 2 rounds of Misoprostal - nothing. D&C December 2012.
  May 2013: BFP #3! Hoping this one sticks! 4x prometrium/day EDD: 01/25/14
  06/03/13: 1st u/s We have a heartbeat! Team green!
  01/24/14: Team green turned team pink. Baby girl was born!
  08/05/14: Surprise BFP #4! (Unmedicated, no pp period, EDD unknown)
  08/15/14: 1 u/s We have a heartbeat! Measured 6wks 2 days. EDD 04/08/15. Team green!
  04/08/15: Team green turned team pink. Baby girl was born!

  Out of all the baby gear I've done research on, humidifiers are the biggest PITA. Every single one has multiple reviews on how much they suck. I guess it's just par for the course to know you might get one season out of it and be done :-/ Lame!

  I have a crane one and love it! It's the elephant one and I plan on getting another one just to have one in every room.

  Another vote for the Crane. We have teardrop one in our room/DD's room. Thinking about getting an animal one for stepdaughter's room. It's that good.

  Second the Honeywell for the living room. No filter is awesome. I would use the crane for a smaller room for LO.

  Thanks for this post - I just woke up with a completely sore throat because it is so so dry in my room with the heat on. We are buying a new one for our room today.

  We have the crane one as well and love it! Its low maintance compared to others we had in the past and fairly inexpensive. We bought it at bed bath & beyond.

  I have a Vicks one and it's ridiculously loud but works really well (cool mist, only has 1 setting.) Also have a Crane drop cool mist and i like it so far! You can adjust the humidity settings which is nice. I didn't read the instruction manual before I used it and learned that if you turn it too high the floor gets soaked.
