I'm in a sad songs and wine kind of mood today. And since it's Saturday and the board is/will be dead, let's play some music.
So play me a sad song. The saddest of songs. Or just a song you like to listen to when you're sad. Or don't. Be a rebel and play a happy song. I just want to listen to music I would likely not hear otherwise.

This song makes me cry. It's At the Bottom of Everything by Brighteyes and it seems like a happy song unless you listen to it. I also like their song Lua. Acutally I just like all their songs. But I'll share this one.

@katnhiding, I love that song! Reminds me of sad high school days.

Not a sad song - this makes me happy and love people! Give it at least the first minute! Hang in there, Elly.
Dammit, why isn't it showing up. Hold please...
No worries, I'm not really in a bad mood or anything. Just feel like listening to sad music? I don't know. Maybe I'm sad and don't realize it yet.

The song it's self isn't necessarily sad, but for me it's a song that makes me both sad and happy at the same time. It was my Dad's favorite song and it makes me miss him more but at the same time it makes me smile because it helps me remember him...
One of my old residents used to sing this song to me. He passed away earlier this year. I'm definitely crying now.

Aww I'm sorry Elly! I wasn't trying to make you cry! ((HUSG))
No worries, it's a good kind of crying.

Sorry you're in a sad song kind of mood. This is my ultimate sad song day song and it pairs nicely with wine.
ETA: its not showing up when I hit post.... its there when I'm typing. I'll have to figure this out.
@elbug, you're trying too hard. Copy the url from the address bar, and paste it like you are trying to just paste the link for us to click on. Then TB will make the video appear instead of the link.

@littleboyermoose I love Fiona Apple. If I could have any voice ever, I would want hers. So pretty.

I'm bumping from my phone which won't allow me to add a video clip BUT my go to sad songs are Billy Joel Piano Man and that song Cats in the Cradle by Harry Chapin
This is my go to song to listen to when I'm sad too. Although it seems even more sad to listen to now that i'm TTC and this is about getting an abortion.
I'm loving all the 90's music! This makes me happy.

We did a lyrical dance to this song in my dance class way back when... so eerie and sad. But loved this song.

@Kirby513 Omg this. And do you wanna cry even more? Watch this version the brides brother recorded for her since their father passed away. It's absolutely beautiful.
Not because it's a sad song, but because it was "OUR" song, and I heard it everywhere for months afterward. I would have to leave stores if it was playing because it made me so sad.
I know how you feel. I have a playlist titled "Depressed". Just to listen to when I feel like listening to sad songs. Not that I want to feel depressed... but just when I'm in the mood to be somber.
