Not Going to be A May '14 momma :(

It was official Wednesday. I'm not going to be a May '14 momma. At our A/S, my regular OB found a mass and was unsure of what it was. He referred us to an MFM, which luckily we were able to get in to see the next day. At our 1st MFM appt, we were told that our daughter has a sacrococcygeal teratoma, but we were still hopeful he would let her stay in as long as possible, hopefully into May. Well, at our MFM appt Wednesday, we found out the teratoma has grown. It was 4cmx5cm at our 1st appt Dec 24th, and Wednesday it had grown to 8cmx8cm. Our MFM said he is not going to let her go any longer than 35 weeks which puts us at April 15th, but feels that more likely it will be somewhere in the 30 week range, because he wants to reduce the risk of trauma to the teratoma during delivery. We go back on Friday to see if it's grown anymore and possible have an MRI depending on whether or not she is still enough to cooperate. As active as she was last time, he said all we would get is a picture that resembled a Jackson Pollock artwork piece. However, he did say that he would be okay if she stayed too active to get an MRI. So, even though I wasn't very active on here, I just wanted to say good-bye and hope that your pregnancies continue on as planned.
