Yup that's how I got engaged! We knew we liked each other before he asked (he has such beautiful baby blue eyes, to my brown, made my heart do flip flops:) )and there are boyfriends and girlfriends sometimes, but it's not really encouraged because feelings can cloud judgement and the Spirit's leading.
What I miss... Hmm I'll have to think about it. I am a total nerd! We grew up with the Star Wars trilogy and I still will totally freak out about Star Wars stuff and other nerdy like things. My DH was born and raised Mennonite, so he's never seen them (except I think I have showed him some like on the computer and such) and just rolls his eyes at my obsession.

he's learned a lot from me lol!
Hobbies for me right now are pretty much taking care of my family, but I love going swimming (not in dresses, just normal swim suits) riding bike, hiking, I LOVE working at my in-laws green house when it's the season. My SIL goes snowmobiling and snowboarding when she goes home to where she grew up (she was from Canada before she married DHs brother). Lucky duck...

My mother didn't read it, either, so didn't know about all the incest when she watched the movie with us. She was shocked a few weeks ago when I told her, and kind of mortified that she sat us down to watch it.

I thought it was worse that she had us watch a movie about a mom slowly poisoning her kids with arsenic, but you know, whatever. No big deal, lol.

Nope, I'm from the middle of nowhere in Nebraska. But there are some of our group of Mennonites there, but also a lot of different branches or denominations.

My DH's sister married a guy that was raised old order Amish. Like the no electricity, horse and buggy, no phones type. He joined this Church when he was older, I can't remember exactly how old, without any of his family.

@joules235 this no poo thing is fascinating to me. I have greasy roots dry ends issues and it drives me insane, plus my hair is pretty long and wavy and gets frizzy, I wear it up a lot because it is unmanageable. I am going to try this but I think I will wait until I am off on Maternity leave for work reasons. I hate shampoo and I hate having to wash my hair all the time. Thanks a bunch for the info

@Lindsleigh77 Since you mention having wavy, unmanageable hair I would also look into the Curly Girl Method. It is also no-poo, but with a focus on cultivating natural waves and curls.

also unrelated to the no poo thing... I thought I was over this morning sickness crap but last night after dinner I got so nauseas and puked so hard I have little red dots all over my face and around my eyes. I feel gross

anyone else have this happen to them.

@Lindsleigh77 Ugh! Sorry you aren't feeling good! Yes, the red dots are broken capillaries from the forcefulness of the vomiting - totally normal. They should go away in a day or two. Feel better soon!

DH and I are supposed to be doing a clean up day today.. The place is a mess. One of the guys from his unit calls and asks if he wants to go mudding.. And this ass says yes then proceeds to get dressed. Are you kidding me?! So I made him call right back and tell him he can't go because he has to clean up. He said I'm being a bitch.. I don't care what he says cause he's staying his ass here and cleaning the apartment.

No!! She didn't even raise him. Didn't want anything to do with him growing up. But now that she's alone (her H died) she seeks attention from him!!

Thats so weird. Do you think she'll get worse after your baby comes? Or that she'll focus more of her energy on the baby rather than your DH?
