Any input on whats better.
Crib mobile with projector, music, movement, heart sound
Or just a plain sound machine?
Working on my registry and I have read mobiles are good, a waste of money etc. Would the projector distract baby too much from sleeping?
Appreciate any input Thanks!
Re: Experienced mommies?!
The ocean and rain sounds are the ones we use the most. I found the heartbeat to be very distracting and not at all comforting and my son was never able to fall asleep with that one on.

I bought the the Tiny Love mobile that spins around and plays classical music. It's about $40 but worth the money. My daughter starter interacting with it at two months. That thing allowed me to go to the bathroom and shower. Well worth the money.
We had the FP crib soother and took it back. DD rolled into it and got a HUGE bump on her head. Although, I don't think this is common!
Mobile- when she was younger, it was just to look at because the song was too short to see her off to sleep. Also, they have to be taken off the crib when baby starts sitting up and pulling up so they don't get strangled BT the thing. HOWEVER, after this, when DD started getting wiggly on the changing table, it was priceless. We hooked it up to the changing table and put it on and we were good to go. We're the only people I know that used the changing table all the way up through potty training without worry, because she loved that mobile so much.
Projector didn't use it as an infant but started using it around 2. It helps having a light that isn't a night light. Also, it helps with any bedtime behavior issues because she doesn't want to loose her stars. She doesn't mind that we leave it behind when we travel, as long as we have a night light along.
