  @MamaFantastic I agree. I wonder, in light of all the planning, we may be able to keep the Paypal open for donations over a more extended period of time? I don't know how easily @Mamamonzo and @Serenla can keep up with it over an extended time frame so I don't know how realistic this is, but I know I'd be willing to donate periodically so that Beth could get little things like the gift cards, meal plans, etc. over the remaining duration of her NICU stay and for a more steady stream of support for her grieving process. I know from experience that NICU feels like an eternity, and Beth has to do it all while bereaved... It may be an option too for people who can't donate a lot at a time, but may be willing to donate a little here and there when finances allow.

  Thanks for setting this up @mamamonzo and @serenla.  I agree that sending gifts to her home address would be best.  I love the idea of a necklace then buying practical gift cards for food, gas and a house cleaning.  I will keep my eyes open for updates as to when we can donate the money.

  Once we get the donations in and we can see how much we are working with, we can determine the right amount of practical/ food/ memorial items we can/should get. I love the idea of a house cleaning, meals, but I would also love something more permanent like the necklace

  I would love to contribute as well. I can't contribute a lot right now but would love to give something. I love all the ideas. I think practical items are great. Housecleaning is a brilliant idea as are meals. I think a necklace would also be wonderful as it us something she will always have and treasure.

  Hi- I normally post in PAIF but I heard what this board is doing for Beth and I think it's wonderful- can I join in? I am interested in donating so I will keep checking to see when the account is set up.
  I shared my IVF journey with Beth and I am absolutely heartbroken for her and her family.

  Jan-March '13 3 IUIs Clomid + Trigger = BFN

  April '13 IVF 1 MDLF converted to 4th IUI due to 3 runaway follicles! BFN

  I would like to contribute as well, I think she is in/near Boston, there may be a prepared meal service in the area that can make a ton of meals and deliver?  We have one here, they are fresh/freezer ready meals, made from scratch at the stores location. I could look into this if you'd like once we know where she is located.. 

  
  

  Also, I think the necklace idea is super sweet and personal.  I think meals are a great idea, but maybe just an overall monetary gift, and small personal gift from the board (like necklace or something else), would help them out immensely.  I know people mentioned gas cards etc, which I think is great, but they are probably coming into a ton of extra/unexpected expenses, and this overall could help them immediately, and in the upcoming months.

  Just read all the updates and am devastated to hear this. I really don't have much but I can contribute a little to the paypal fund and I am good with whatever the board decided to do.   I wouldn't be opposed to just sending cash / gift card for full amt. I think the cleaning service is wonderful but her thoughts are probably a million places other then her homes. The food services are great too but with traveling it may go to waste/ I know personally I'm not hungry when I'm upset. Sounds like they could just use some A14 angels (and other bumpers!) to just send some money/thoughts/prayers to help ease their burden during this awful time so they can focus their energy on Fiona.

  Thank you for organizing this.   I think that the necklace idea is wonderful (we did this for one of our moms on my previous BMB and she told us later that it meant a lot to her) and that things like gas gift cards and food gift cards are a good idea for the rest since they'll be in the NICU for quite some time.

  In addition to what the money could go towards, I think everyone is coming up with great ideas. I also think what chichi589 said made sense. I don't know if they plan to lay sweet little Isla to rest and/or have a memorial service for her, but I know that can get very expensive. Not sure about their insurance and what it would cover and things like that... I think that's where the monetary donations would come into great use. I know that they would use the money where they best see fit, and that we should definitely get something for her to wear in honor of Isla. The meals are a great idea, but I would hope that her family and network of friends and people in their lives would already be doing something like a meal train. Wouldn't want to overwhelm then with too much of one thing. I think cleaning services are a good idea too. I do wish there was a close friend or someone in close communication with her/her family that we could make contact with to know how to best use our donations.

  We're just waiting on paypal to finish on their end. Once donations come in @serenal and I will assess how much money we have and we'll go from there. While we wait if someone finds a nice necklace post a link so everyone can see it. If there are multiples we'll get the one with the most loves.
  You can still PM me if you want to send cards or anything else. This project will probably finish up at the end of January so everyone can help/ship items!
