Whoa. TTC #2 Emotional Overload

I have been nothing but excited to start prep for our FET (roughly scheduled for March 3rd). I've loved focusing on G during her first year and have been genuinely thrilled to think about giving her a sibling.

Went in to start pre-cycle testing yesterday and started to get a pit in my stomach. It just finally hit me that the upcoming FET may not be successful. It took 2 fresh cycles before I got a BFP with G. For some crazy reason I've just been assuming that this first FET for baby #2 will be a success until yesterday.

Ah! IF sucks. I'm now trying to remember how to find that delicate balance between optimism and realism. It should be such an exciting time, but it's like I've just woken up to a harsh reality and my cycle hasn't even begun! What's wrong with me?!

Oh penny, hugs! That is the crappy thing about IF. Tons of money, hopes and dreams and you could still end up with nada.

I do have to say that it one reason why we weren't ready to pursue treatment again until next year. So admire your courage!

Not to blow rainbows up your behind, but something went right on your cycle that brought you Gracie and your frosties. I'm praying that your frosties will tuck right in! Are you doing one or two?

Hugs Penny. I know exactly how you feel b/c I already have these cold thoughts and I have not even set up a consult for an FET yet and don't plan on doing it for a few months.....

It's so hard, but remember it DID work once.... And it WILL work again

There is NOTHING wring with you! When we started to TTC again all the old IF feeling came rushing back. It was like I jumped right back on that roller coaster with both feet. I had a ton of anxiety and there were many tears during my string of cancellations and postponements. But just like the first time it was all worth it in the end. I have everything crossed for you!!!

Nothing is wrong with you! I totally get it and feel the same way. Those old feelings came rushing back and I thought to myself, oh god, I remember how much this really sucked now!! Hugs to you!

When I started TTC#2 for some reason I thought it would be easy, like we'd found the meds and process that finally worked. I was sorely disappointed cycle after cycle when it didnt work. I agree w/ some PP's that #2 was just as hard, almost harder in some aspects. But here I am 17weeks pregnant with #2. It can be done!! I've seriously seen lots of miracle babies around here!
Either way,I have high hopes for you. I am truly hoping that FET #1 is a success for you. Hang in there girl!

Oh penny...I'm sorry the IF mind beeyotch is rearing her ugly head! It STINKS! You will find that balance and G will certainly help you to do that. I'm excited that you're beginning on the journey for #2! Stay strong mama!

If doesn't go away, but you are strong and did it once you will do it again!
Try to focus on the end result and chant its all worth it .

Stupid stupid IF! It takes so much joy and optimism away from us. On the days when you get discouraged, just look at G and know that miracles are possible. Wishing you tons of luck!
