I always have great intentions of laundry, cooking, cleaning etc when my sweet girl is sleeping, but then she's so cozy napping on me that I just snuggle and watch more tv. Maybe my energy will come back eventually Anyone else have this "problem"?
Yup. I should be getting ready for work but I'd rather lay here with LO sleeping on me. Also, I'm supposed to keep her awake so that she will nap for DH while I'm gone. Oops.
Housework will always be there, tiny cuddles won't. Plus it makes the tougher moments more bearable. At least I find I can stay calmer and have a lot more patience during meltdowns if we've had good cuddle sessions sometime during the day!
Doing this right now! I've been debating putting her down for about 20 minutes and I just can't. Laundry and all that crap can wait, I'm enjoying sweet snuggles.
I agree, these little cuddles are fleeting and everything else (for the most part) will be there later. It makes me sad how hard it is to sit around and cuddle Ben because his brothers always need something. I know he wont remember and doesn't mind, but I hate just setting him down in his swing or bouncy seat to get other stuff done.
Yes too often baby snuggles win. Even this morning, I just set Jocelyn down in her bassinet though so I can get ready and we can head to the hospital and snuggle my new nephew too :-)
My baby carrier has been my saving grace. Typically after her morning feed, I put in in the carrier when she's awake and play fetch with my dog in the backyard. She usually falls asleep while playing with Savannah, so I clean up the house while she snuggles in the carrier. She usually stays asleep a bit and I get couch snuggles too.
I don't let M sleep on me. Drives me nuts. I can't sit still that long and I always move, which = not great sleep for him. But I do love to cuddle before sleep.

I have him in the carrier right now, but am too nervous to do anything that involves bending over. Luckily, the cloth diapers require several rounds of rinsing, so that delays reaching into the washer.

Wear the baby in a sling or carrier. Solves the problem...you get snuggles while getting things done! The other two kids would destroy my house slowly if I didn't do this every day. Haha
I just welled up with tears! Don't get me wrong, I want my little love bug to be healthy and strong but I just can't stand putting clothes away because they're too small!! She's only 2 weeks old!

This! I will let her sleep on me for about 15 or 20 mins to get in some snuggles but then I put her down. I have to have time for DS2 also, he is always needing something. I can't sit still that long either especially if my house is a wreck.
