HCG level of 710

in 1st Trimester
Hi ladies! My hubby and I found out that we are pregnant last week. I got my hcg levels tested Friday and they were 710. Based on my calculations, my last menstrual period was on 12/12/13 and I ovulated on 12/24/13. This would put me at 4 weeks. Does 710 seem normal for 4 weeks? Thanks:)

    There really is no normal, the numbers can vary by a lot. Will your HCG levels be checked again? The doubling time is more important than the actual number. 

    hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :

    • 3 weeks LMP: 5 – 50 mIU/ml
    • 4 weeks LMP: 5 – 426 mIU/ml
    • 5 weeks LMP: 18 – 7,340 mIU/ml
    • 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 – 56,500 mIU/ml
    • 7 – 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 – 229,000 mIU/ml
    • 9 – 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 – 288,000 mIU/ml
    • 13 – 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 – 254,000 mIU/ml
    • 17 – 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 – 165,400 mIU/ml
    • 25 – 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 – 117,000 mIU/ml
    • Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
    • Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml

    * These numbers are just a GUIDELINE– every woman’s level of hCG can rise differently. It is not necessarily the level that matters but rather the change in the level.

    SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.
    BFP#1 7/20/13 EDD 3/30/14, m/c 8/19/13, D&E 8/21/13, Chromosomal results = normal, female
    Lap & hysteroscopy scheduled for 10/31, right tube cleared, no endo found! ...Happy Halloween!
    Cycle 14: Clomid (50)+ IUI = BFP! EDD 9/16/14~ Rowan Elizabeth born sleeping at 17w4d on 4/12/14 due to IC.

    I just had mine tested on 14dpo and it was 131. But from what everyone is saying you have to wait to you have your next blood work and make sure that the number doubles. Is your doctor send you for more bloodwork? If so, let us know how it turns out!

    Oh good! Yes i went again today and am waiting for the results to get back to me. We miscarried for the first time in October so I am crossing my fingers that this one is our lucky one!! My doc got me started on progesterone as soon as we found out we were pregnant after the miscarriage:) I hear it works wonders!

    OMG I'm totally obsessing over the numbers! LOL 131 seems so low but everyones saying that it's within the limits and that number isnt as important as the number from the second test. I miscarried about a year ago so I'm pretty nervous about this one too. Fingers crossed and baby dust to both of us!

    Im so sorry! We also experienced a miscarriage for the first time in October so I am totally obsessing about everything!! How far along do you think you are?

    I'm sorry for your loss too. I think I'm about four to 4 1/2 weeks. I called today and left a message with the nurse about my results but I haven't heard anything back. So I'm guessing I'll hear back tomorrow.

    I think I am also 4 1/2 weeks! Its so confusing on how they base it off your last period! I am on the internet all the time searching for stuff haha, My hubby tells me to stay off but I cant help it!

    I feel like after having a miscarriage, it is normal to worry, although, I think I over worry haha! Have you guys told anyone yet?

    Just got my second levels back, they are 3470!!!!! They went from 710 to 3470 in 4 days!!!! I hope this is good!!

    That's awesome meg4mike!!! Congrats!!! Still waiting to hear about mine :-/ fingers crossed! Congrats to you though! And the only people who know what's going on besides me and my husband is my sister and my best friend. Last time we told my parents and then the following day I started to bleed so I'm a little nervous about that this time. Just got a wait till I get the second blood results back and then I'll decide from there. What about you? Anybody else know? I guess you'll start spreading the word now that we had a great second test result!!!

    I know how to feel about telling people. We went through the same thing last time we were preg. :( I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! We have only told my best friend! Once we have a good us I will tell me parents!

    Congrats! That puts you right around a 42hr doubling time! That's fantastic!

    I totally understand your hesitation about telling people. We're not telling anyone, not even our parents, until we have a good u/s. FX for you!

    Thanks Becky&Sean, its so hard to not tell people BUT we figured its better to wait until things are good in the US to tell people. So your numbers are supposed to double every 24-72 hours right? YAY, lauruzzi that is wonderful, CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Your betas should double every 31-72 until they hit 1200. The doubling time increases to 72-96 after that, & increases to 96+ hours after 6K.

    This is my second pregnancy, hopefully will be my 1st take home.

    We miscarried for the first time in October so I am worrying about everything haha! Based on my calculations, I conceived on 12/25.

    Got my second level... 573! From 131! More then quadrupled! :) happy for us!

    YAY, CONGRATS!! I bet that made your day!!  So happy for you!!!!  Have they scheduled you for your first ultrasound?
