I was told condoms only. A lot of BF ladies take the mini pill, but my doctor didn't want to prescribe it because of the chance of it decreasingy supply.
We use condoms. Used them for 4 years w/o any issues and got pregnant the first month we didn't use one. It works for us, but I know others don't like them.
Although, if you didn't use NFP prior to getting pregnant, I wouldn't recommend it during nursing since I think it would be hard to do with unfamiliarity with your fertile signs.
From what I've read, the options are the mini pill, IUD (mirena or Paragard), barrier methods (condom, diaphragm), or NFP. I feel like barrier methods are inconvenient and I couldn't remember to take the pill before so why could I remember now with an infant keeping me busy. I did NFP previously and had success, but had fertility issues prior to this pregnancy so I don't know which really kept me from getting pregnant. I want something more sound to make sure I have time to heal before getting pregnant again just in case so I will probably be getting an IUD. I just need to figure out which one is best for me. I like the Paragard because no hormones, but I have horrible periods and don't really want to risk them getting any worse.
