A friend of mine recently had a baby, and I'm planning on going to visit them in the next few weeks. I'm taking a gift for her new son, but I want to take something for her older boy as well. He's 3. Those of you with kids around that age, what do you suggest? I don't want to take a toy that will be obnoxious for the parents to deal with, but I want to take something he'll like and that might keep him busy. Or just something thoughtful. Ideas??
Re: older sibling gift
My son loved puzzles when he was 3. Not the wooden “put this piece here” puzzles, but the cardboard 20-40 piece puzzles depending on which end of 3 he’s on. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

My 3 year old nephew loves to help his mommy clean so I got him a kid size broom for Christmas. He loved it.
