A combo of my maiden name and married name, plus birth year. Not to be confused with the breakfast pork that northerners love.

I liked my old sn better (my full maiden name) because it rhymes with my nickname and I just thought I was being so clever. But I use it for all my social networking and didn't want to be easily found on here IRL.It's been my FB name forever, and I've tacked on my married name to the end but I'm not mature enough to give up my Dr. Seuss-style rhyming FB name just yet.

I love this and I don't know how I haven't told you sooner! Every time you post, I hear that join the navy commercial.

My screen name was created in my early "knot" days. Bootsie is one of the 800 NNs my DH has for me, and 3/27 was our engagement date. This was 2010 and I'd have probably picked something totally different for the bump if I had been joining from scratch!

I do post on jez as "makeyourselfbig". i had seen the other yvanehtnioj and thought "aaaaaah why didn't i think of that???" so when it came time to make a tb account, i seized it for my own. but i did have that song on a burned cd and i would listen to it all the time back in the day.

@bootsie327 hope i don't get the song stuck in your head to the point of annoyance

I've had this SN since 1999 universally throughout my (mostly nerdy) online dealings. She's a character from a Star Wars novel (The Courtship of Princess Leia), and is pretty badass.

My first use of it was in a MUD (not what we know of as MUD now, a text based Multi User Dungeon, like MMORPGs now, only no pictures).

So yeah. Nerd alert.

Did you know this poem is making references to committing suicide? Not knocking it at all...It's been a favorite if mine since 5th grade. I was just shocked when we dissected it in HS and was told the meaning.

My SN is a nn that my dad gave me when I was little. I was very gangly and had long arms that he compared to buggy whips. My old sn was first initial_ maiden name but I changed it a few years ago when I realized how stupid it was.

@buggywhips I did know that, but as with any poetry, the meaning you take away can be highly subjective. Rather than the suicide interpretation, I liked the image of the man and his horse, alone in a beautiful quiet moment. Instead of a man and his mind alone in a dark one.

I never used TK for anything like that, just for browsing creative ideas. It linked it to TB. Probably should have changed it right when I found the boards and decided to start posting, but I don't think I realized how "dumb" it was until after a few posts and lurking.

They normally prefer 3 options in case your first pick is already in use. That way it keeps all of your post history. I think it can take a few days to go through though.
