Idk how I slept through all if this. I have nevet been one to post as often as the regulars but I have never felt left out or alienated. This is a close group of ladies and they are very supportive. They tell it like it is but hug you while doing so. If you lurked long enough you would understand that. And if you can't handle gifs I don't really know what board you'll fit into, but clearly it's not this one.
If you want a place for intelligent discussions without "petty immature silliness" as you call it, stick to google. We have spent the last year getting to know each other and many of us are not strangers. We have fun together because that's what friends do. We laugh, we cry, we support, we fight (a little), we stay up late, we share advice, we talk about silly things and serious stuff and about how we accidentally burned dinner. We have a relationship, and one thing we don't and will not tolerate is some idiot coming in here, introducing themselves and criticizing us in the same breath and think that's okay. We protect each other from newbies like you. We don't know you, we will not change for you. And now you can't stay because you have been rude while posting on some of our more "intelligent discussions" as you call them. Why would we want you here? Why would we trust you with our more serious questions and concerns, when you can't even be nice on a thread about dinner or baby life hacks. Youve sat and observed the lifestyle and found that you like the concept of this place but its not how YOU would want it to be run. So with no time invested in the culture you decide to tell all the residents how they are doing everything wrong and then telling them you can't wait to get to know them.
Do young ou see how this doesn't make sense.... if we were a small tribe we would banish you for insulting our ways and trying to change our culture. You either accept the culture of this new place or you keep moving until you find q place that suits you.

Look, the bottom line is that almost all of us have been here for the past year+, throughout our pregnancies. We've gotten to know each other and have supported each other through everything. I had an easy pregnancy, too, but I was still here getting to know the other women and participating.
Maybe you are just oblivious and don't realize that you are being insulting and rude. Or maybe you know exactly what you are saying. Either way, you made a horrible first impression and I wouldn't hold my breath about being welcomed here. OP, I joined this board in my third trimester when most of these women already formed bonds. As a newbie, I participated in conversations. Never once did I get bullied. First impressions go a long way.

Eh, I'm not so convinced this is an AE. I think an AE would've been a bit more obvious in the way they started the thread. I feel like it's just someone totally oblivious to how to appropriately handle social situations. Can I just say: I know I rarely post anymore and I know I've never really been that big a poster, but you ladies mean a lot to me. When I found out I was pregnant, I was worried because I recently moved to a new neighborhood far from friends and family. You've helped me keep my sanity, put things in perspective and encouraged pantslessness (something that has seriously improved my relationship with my husband!). Thanks for being awesome.
