    DD's first bday was small at a little cafe. We had two kids & the rest was friends/family. It was fun. Her second was at our play place & Hello Kitty themed. Slightly bigger & fun.

    I'll probably do something similar for DS. I say if you want to do big & all then go for it. It's really the only time you have complete control over theme etc. whatev. Do what makes you happy & take lots of pictures!

    We'll do family and probably a few close friends. Dd1 has a winter one-feel and theme & I tried to be creative. Having 2 kids has sucked the creative (what little I had) out of me so I'm thinking baby Minnie Mouse or Abby Kadaby.

    Since we moved to Maryland this year, and MD is known for crabs, we were thinking a "crab pickin." Then I realized depending on how many people are invited, it crabs will get expensive...So the hungry Caterpillar is the next theme runner up.

    May I ask where about in MD. I've lived here my whole life. And uh even if you only have 10 people there, crabs will be very expensive.

    BFP Dec 8! EDD Aug 17th, due to Preeclampsia and HELLP, Kylie Penelope was born July 30th!

    I will admit that I was actually talking to H about this the other day. I was thinking about doing something in my grandmother's back yard which is pretty large, we could cook out or cater. I told him I definitely wanted to rent a bouncy house or bouncy something or other. Perhaps that part is more for me than LO....

    Wow, you guys are on it. I have no idea. For DS1, we did a big party with an Elmo theme (he loved Elmo). Just a big party at our house with lots of friends. Same for his second. For this one, I'm guessing we'll do something similar. It depends on what he's into at the time (if anything!)

    We are doing a backyard party with a sailing theme, we don't have many kids coming and still attacking pintrest for some good foodie ideas
