I have a friend that was posting that she started feeding her 4 month old daughter solids and that her pediatrician told her it would stop her daughter from spitting up. I always thought you needed to wait cause it can cause problems. Then one of her friends mentioned how she gives her son cereal with juice because he's been having juice since he was 2 1/2 months old. What? I'm not claiming to be a dr or an expert so am I wrong thinking this is wrong? Is it fine giving solids at 4 months and juice at 2 1/2 months?
Re: fb posts, am I wrong thinking this is wrong?
There are many different views when it comes to introducing solids. We did start DS on puree at 4 months once daily. My sister started her DD on cereal earlier due to severe reflux (and this was the recommendation of her pedi). I still do not given DS juice, as it is just unneeded sugar. Personally, I don't think juice at 2.5 months is normal as it is not going to give a baby any nutrients.
Many people have many different opinions. I generally stay out of the debate, as they are mostly just opinions and differences in parenting methods.
