how soon after the cord falls off did you guys start bathing lo?
My lo's cord fell off at 5 days and I gave her a bath the next day. You can bathe them while the cord is still attached you just have to make sure the cord is completely dry, pedi said dry it with a q-tip
We have done a couple showers and he was completely content. Tonight he had his first bath in his baby bather in the tub with brother. He was very relaxed as long as the warm wash rag was on his chest.
My son is ok with bathtime, teetering on enjoying it. I appreciate it as he screams bloody murder when being changed. Couldn't take that with two things lol.
I've Only done one tub bath and he couldn't decided whether he liked it or hated it. In the next week or so I'll start taking him in the big tub with me so he can swim. Once a week is enough for him right now because his skin is really dry.
She loves her bath!! We have a sling and it works great. I have her her first submerged bath as soon as her umbilical cord fell off and her belly button was completely healed.
My LO also hated bath time when it was just a sponge bath sitting in his bath chair thing. But when I brought him in with me and submerged him, he loved it. He was very calm, no crying and it relaxed him so much. He even nursed in the tub and then slept so well afterwards.
I have only done one actual submerged bath. We prefer holding him in the shower with us skin to skin. He likes it better.
This has been our experience as well. DH has been showering with her, and it's great skin to skin time. I throw her towel in the dryer so it's not as tough for her to be out of the warm shower. Then it's straight into her sleep sack.

LO is alright as long as there is a warm washcloth on his chest, tummy, and his privates. He loved his back being washed. Much better than the sponge bathing!
our LO screamed the first couple times, but since then she smiles & does okay with it. I do turn on a space heater in the room beforehand to make sure it's nice & warm, I think that helps, cuz she shakes & gets upset when she is cold.
I think my eardrums might actually bleed after the shrieking Ben does during his baths. It echoes and amplifies throughout the shower and bathroom. It's pretty much torture for both of us!

Yup. This is pretty much our experience too. Vera makes it clear that she hates the bath (and diaper changes or anything that involves being naked).
She loves her baths and showers. You can tell she enjoys them and she gets so mad when we take her out. She gets one just about every night as part of her bedtime routine.
