Lax- Beautifully written. Sometimes it is so difficult to put things in perspective when everyone is sleep deprived, sick, crabby, etc. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I needed that.

I got emotional over M's new thing this week. She doesn't know what a hug or kiss is but loves me so much that she tries as hard as she can to put her face on my face or her face in my neck. Melts my heart.

Jake gives me kisses now. He will pull off while nursing reach his neck up and when I bend down he puts his mouth on mine. It's the best.

Annabelle's way of showing love is giving me raspberries.

My confession is I get anxious when I watch her walk with her walker. I feel like I am waiting for her to fall and get hurt that I can't enjoy it. It also makes me feel like a newb lol.

This is us, too. She pulls off sometimes and reaches out to play with them. And the rest, yup, too. She even laughs when she gets her hands in my mouth and I shake my head.

My friend's daughter did this. She played with the other one while she nursed. She had a harder time breaking her of that than she did weaning. Lol

Ya C's nail have never been so short for thy exact reason. I now cut them every other day. I may switch to every diaper change. Those talons can wreak serious damage on my nips.

I used to only cut M's nails when she was sleeping, but now she lets me do it when she's awake. I have found that it's easier to do it when she's sitting in her high chair and therefore more confined. She has also recently started to like watching it, and holds still (most of the time) because she's trying to see what's happening. It also helps to give her a toy to hang on to with the other hand.

@jayro10 - I'll keep trying. He usually yanks his hand or wiggles his fingers. He rarely stops moving lol

Well since day one she has just stated put and watched but occasionally she wiggles so if I have any advice it's this.

1) don't try to do them all at once just clip them as you can.

2) give them a fascinating one Hand toy or do it while they feed

3) if all else fails I have been know to resort to letting her play with my iPhone.
