I think it has been established that Nixon is bad. I like Mia the best on your list and second Brynn. What about Briar? That name came to mind when reading your list.
I really, really, really want to urge your DH to rethink his "Nixon" idea.
ETA: Even spelling it "Nixyn" isn't going to do away with the presidential connotation... and it sounds/looks even more like a variation of "vixen," like PP said.
What did you land up naming your baby girl? I found your post by googling the name Nixyn. We like the name. It's actually a family name so it is more special then just liking the name. But your replys were brutal. I'm torn...because half of me loves it and the other half is worried about what people think. I know Nobody will ever 100% love a name especially outsiders.
Ryann, Mila, and Brynn (and sorry Brinley) are still tops for now. Just need middle names for Ryann or Brynn. Liked Lynn as a mn but cant do it for Brynn lol!
Ryann Lynn is actually okay to me. I also like: Brynn Nicole Ryann Nicole Brynn Olivia Ryann Olivia Brynn Michelle Brynn Renee Brynn Colette Ryann Colleen Brynn Marissa Brynn Victoria
Yeah, it is just... not a name I enjoy. It has bad connotations as far as ol' Tricky Dick, and as other ladies pointed out, the Vixen rhyme doesn't help matters.

It's a family name with that spelling? Really!?
If it's important to use it because of the family connection, put it in the middle name spot. I seriously cannot believe anyone with any awareness of events in American history before their birth would use this as a first name, family name or not. Your child's name should not need the disclaimer, "After family, not the president!" every time he/she is introduced.
True, there's no name 100% of people will love, but FFS you can do a lot better than practically zero percent.

I totally thought I missed something, with a thread having so many posts..
Then I saw it was over a year old. I'm disappointed.
Yah, just noticed that myself when @HisGirlFriday pointed it out on page 2. OOPS... I put a lot of thought into my response and suggested a bunch of a middle names... feeling silly.

Don't feel bad, I normally would have too
The only reason I read through all the responses was because there was soooo many.. assumed something was up! So saw the old thread part mentioned. Typically I never look, I just assume everything is new.

Brynn, Mila, and Mia are definitely your best choices. I like them all with Max. Pick one of those.
This is exactly what I was about to say.
ETA: Just read the rest of the thread. To the person who bumped the thread, I agree that if you use it at all I'd definitely put it in the MN spot. For sure. Also consider that it's really OK to let family names die out. Case in point: I have a great-uncle Adolf ...
I'm glad you are going to veto Nixyn (or Nixon), that is not a good choice. Also dislike Brinley a lot but I love Brynn, Mila, and Mia. I also like Ryan quite a bit (with one 'n' - not a fan of unique name spellings). What about Mila Ryan? I think that goes great with your last name and Mila is beautiful and sounds good w/ Max!!
Nixon is pretty awful, but Nixyn is really really really bad. Just imagine when she introduces herself: people will think she is named after a pretty questionable president, when they see how it's spelled they will assume some rather unflattering things about her parents.

Please do not use a y. Everyone will associate it with the president anyways so don't goof it up with the spelling. If you like Nixon, name her Nixon.
I also don't understand adding an extra n to the name Ryan.
I would 100% assume Nixon Ryan was a boy but if you're alright with that then it's fine but remember your daughter has to actually live with it.
I think Mila/Mia Ryann works fine, as does Mila/Mia Brynn.
How about Ryann Colleen, Brynn Piper, Ryann Camilla, Brynn Everly, Ryann Beatrice
