Ours was a Fisher-Price and while it said to not machine wash it, I did and it came out like new. ?I may have placed it in a large mesh lingerie bag. ?If you're nervous about it and have the time, you'd likely be safe to hand-wash it and lay flat to dry.
Little spit-up = spot clean; Big spi-up/puke = wash.? depends on which swing you have - ours was pretty easy to take off.
