1st Trimester

M/S does it ever stop?

I was told in 2nd tri it stops and I sure hope so or Dr. is going to have to give me something.  I feel good for a few days and thanlike I have the flu others. I've only puked twice but feeling like it all day and night is driving me crazy. I can't shake it!!

Re: M/S does it ever stop?

  • I didn't get any morning sickness so I can't relate. But it seems like the ms fades for most of the ladies. Not necessarily your first day in 2nd tri, but eventually. GL!

  • WIth my DD, I had "all day" sickness until 7 months along...it really differs with each person, but if it's bad, you can ask your doc for a prescription - they put me on zofran and it was a miracle drug :)

Before putting you on a script, they may want you to try a B vitamin if you aren't on it already. It worked for me, but I didn't really have any actual puking, just didn't want to eat due to nausea. It should go away maybe a few weeks after your into 2nd tri, but sometimes it can last the whole time.

I have also heard of a lot of success with the scripts that people have gotten.

    Good luck!?

  • Mine stopped 2 weeks into 2nd tri....but sometimes it comes back a little in 3rd tri.....feel better!
  • Mine is just now tapering off and I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow - and it really has just gotten better since I've gotten enough of my appetite back to keep food in my stomach, I still get sick if I don't eat every couple hours.

I was on Zofran for a bit, it worked well but gave me nasty headaches and am now on Phenegran. I tried the B6 vitamin and it did nothing for me.

  • Sorry I didn't mention the B6...It didn't work for me, so I completely forgot, but yes it helps a lot - Good luck, I hope you find what works for you :)
  • Mine slowed down around 18 weeks...however it came back with heartburn sometime around 27 weeks.  =(  I went no where without Zofran just in case I needed it.
