Anyone else want their baby born in a certain month?

When we first started TTC, July 2013 would have been fabulous. Then February 2014, after that failed, June 2014 looked pretty good. At this point, any time I can get pregnant and stay pregnant and have a healthy baby would be fantastic. In a world where I called the timeline, I'd be TFAS or PregnantWAS right now. In a world where things worked out, I'd be almost due. Since none of that is true, Fall 2014 would be great.

DD1 was born on Fat Tuesday and President's Day weekend, so I always have a day off close to her actual birthday. DD2 was born on Veteran's Day, so I always get her birthday off.

Based on when we want to TTC # 3 and timing to get KU with the first 2, I'm betting on either a Martin Luther King, Jr. (Jan 20ish) or a Cesar Chavez (March 31) baby next. :P

But in all seriousness. While I'd rather not be third tri pregnant in the summer, a healthy and full term baby is my goal. Whenever that happens to be.

My in-laws both have "obscure holiday" birthdays (MIL is Ground Hog's Day and FIL is April Fool's Day. His is super fitting.

). It makes it so much easier to remember their birthdays.

I would love a fall baby as well but like others I DONOT want a DEC baby it's just to hectic around the holidays my nephew BD is the DEC 11 n seems like he always gets cut short and just planning a birthday party every year around that is just not something I would wanna do I'm gonna TRY hahaha! avoid the the month of March just for these reasons

@Kimbus22 - Nice!! I was in Virginia when it happened. I was nannying at the time, and was in a rocking chair with the LO. Suddenly it started rocking on its own and I was like "what is happening?!" Looked outside and saw my car rocking back and forth. Good times

How did your family not feel it though? My husband was working nights that week, so he was sleeping at home and slept right through it.

DD is a Dec baby so we are waiting an extra month to TTC because we'd like to avoid having 2 birthdays in the same month. Other than that, I don't care what month, though I can't imagine being in the 3rd trimester during the summers here...it's super hot with super high humidity and I'm sure it'd be absolutely miserable...however, we will not avoid TTC so that I won't be super pregnant during the summer because it would be worth it in the end.

Babies will def do what they want, for sure! However, I'd love to have a March or April baby next time. I'm a school teacher and I don't have as many days saved for #2 as I did with my son. Therefore, if I was to have a March baby I could take the rest of the school year off and not go back until September. It was hard going back to work and pumping 3x a day for a 13 week old. If I could not go back until he/she was 7 months old...ahh...that would be amazing! We will start trying this May! Trying a few months early to pray we get that March or April baby...we shall see! You never know!

My DD was due at the end of nov. My husbands birthday is at the begining of the month, so it would have been cool to have a nov. baby. But I really hate the birthstone. To me or looks like frozen pee. Although I really wanted her to be happy and healthy I was really hoping she was a few days late. Now my baby has the beautiful blue topaz/turquoise birthstone. Yay! Her birthstone if mixed with my husbands would turn into mine so that's another reason it's awesome.

I hoped for an April or May baby since I'm a teacher and wanted as much time with baby as possible. I'm currently pg with a May baby! We got damn lucky! We'd have kept up TTC anyway though.

Congrats softservecity! I will definitely keep up TTC as well. I wouldn't want to wait a whole year just to conceive a December baby. I'll try March. If not, there's April, May, and June and so on..But would be nice to concieve on first try.

For those of you that are teachers like I am and wanting a Spring baby, when are you going to start trying? I was thinking June, July, and August but some people say start in May?

Anything but a summer baby is a-ok with me. I was leaning more towards a kiddo either in April/May or October, and lucky me, EDD is April 22.

I just want a second baby! I'd like to avoid a Christmas baby, like myself (Dec 26th), so we just won't have sex during the month of March. ;-)

With this one, we started TTC early summer knowing it could take several months to conceive, and I wanted to avoid a late summer baby if possible just due to how uncomfortable it would be to be 8-9 months pregnant when it's 115+ outside. I wouldn't have put TTC on hold though just to time my ideal EDD. I'm due in June, so we didn't avoid the heat all together, but I can handle it.

Am I the only one that cares about the astrological sign and not just the month? I think things like "If I got pregnant this month I would have a Libra baby. Next month would be a Scorpio. Etc."

I think about what month I would want a baby born in by what I think my child would like. For example: I like having my birthday in the summer because we can go on vacation for it and theres no school to ruin what should be a relaxing day to myself. I would not want my birthday in Dec due to Christmas. Etc.

Both me and my husband are saggitarius. Sometimes those astrological signs seem accurate. I'm guilty of looking at other people's personalities and comparing it to their astrological signs and saying "not sure I want my baby born in that month" lol.

We are both Leos. I know which signs I get along with most and would love those. Others... yeah, not so much. And remember each month has two signs. So it depends where in the month the birthday falls. Actually there is a great book called "Birthdays". Really big blue book, and it goes through every day and talks about personality of each day. Very accurate from personal experience.

We're at the beginning of TTC and I just want a winter baby. The thought of being big in the summer gives me heat rash just thinking about it! I'd prefer not December due to Christmas but January-March would be ideal but a baby will come when God wants it to!

Doesn't matter to me. Hubby has a December birthday and it sucks- almost impossible to get people together for his birthday due to the holidays. That would be my last choice if I had one.

I'm a teacher so DH and I are planning to start in June/July 2014 for hopes of an "end of school year" baby (May/June birthday) so I will be able to then be home with them for the summer

one can hope but a healthy baby is always the true desire.
