So today was the first day I took LO out by myself. We went to the pediatrician for a 3 week check up. We actually got there on time, and I was kinda feeling like super mom, until I went to grab the car seat to bring LO into the doc office, and realized I didn't know how to detach the car seat (DH had done it up until this point.) Frantically, I called DH and texted him like a million times with no response. After 15 minutes of trying different things and trying to call DH, I was on the verge of tears. After twenty minutes, I remembered I could take LO out of the car seat to bring him into the doc (especially since we were now twenty minutes late.) I rushed in carrying my three week old like a frantic, teary-eyed psycho. I finally got into the room where LO would have his check up, looked down, and noticed my pants were inside out.
Mommyhood is glamorous .
What mommy-bloopers have you made these first few weeks?
Re: Share your mommy bloopers!
I haven't really had any bloopers yet with DD but when I had DS I accidentally kept banging his head into the doorway. I would carry him in my arms and take the corners too close. I still feel bad about it two years later.

And oh gosh- I haven't smacked LO into a doorway yet, but I'm sure it's bound to happen sooner or later. The mental image of it makes me giggle, but if I ever do it, I'm sure I'll be balling my eyes out because of guilt.
I had a similar non-baby related blooper this summer. My bio dad gifted me with an SUV. I met him at the DMV to switch the title over. I had never driven the car before and spent a solid 45 minutes in the parking lot trying to leave in it. I thought the four wheel drive shift was the gear shift. Womp womp.
My mom fail was at our first dr appt. baby was only 3 days old and the office was running late. Baby ended up being super hungry and we didn't have a pacifier. Womp womp. The screams were awful!!
