I can't participate in UO until TB fixes the avatars. I can't handle the uncertainty of the inevitable love its with these stupid rings. I need the validation of familiar, non-crazy faces at the bottom of my potentially-but-probably-not controversial opinions.
I bet if today were FFFC we'd have some epic confessions!
@83edwards I don't really want your shower, but you can totally send me all the gifts and just keep buying your own stuff. I'll put ugly shit on my baby if it's free.
We wait for our upgrade with Verizon. It usually happens around DH's bday, and he's more particular about what he wants. But we *always* get the free phones. Oh, and if that shit breaks before the next upgrade? DH fixes it. My anatomy scan is today and while I thought I'd be thrilled, I'm scared and don't want to go. MY PGaL brain won't let me accept that things may just work out. Things have been going too well and the pessimest in me makes me think we're going to get bad news. I seriously don't want to go!
On a lighter note - I haven't taken one belly pic. Not with DS and not in this preganancy. And I don't think I will. Maybe I'll regret it someday, but as of right now, this ever-growing tub of a tummy is not something I want to commemorate.
@marielynnk - Ah, thanks! I have an even better one where I am trying to eat/bite my cousin on her face and she is freaking out, but it is at my Mom's house.

I guess my other UO is that I love bumps. I love looking at pictures of bumps...even other people's bumps. Even bare-bellied bumps. Even bumps with stretch marks. And I love maternity photos. I could look at them all day long.
The only thing that I find annoying is when someone posts a picture of their 6 pack abs with a caption of: "Look at my my 5 week baby bump!" Um, no. You are just showing off your abs.

Mines kinda lame but I fully plan on putting a bow on this little lady like...pretty much everyday.
That being said, my UO is I cannot STAND the baby girls with a 10lb bow on their tiny little heads. DH is from super country west Texas and apparently you don't actually have a baby girl unless her bow outweighs her head down there.

Ooh I have one today! I can.not.stand. bare belly maternity photos. They creep me out, and I don't think they're cute. I hate it even more when people post pictures of their unclothed bellies on FB. Ick.
Oops, I just posted a whole bunch of bare belly pics on @IBackBevo's bump thread. Never posted a single bump pic on FB though.

@pandadair ughhhh the worst, nothing like a good ol' drunk heehaw in-law!
I could go on and on about mine, our first Christmas together we went down there...I think I spent it with more taxidermied (sp?) animals than actual relatives

ERMAGHERD! Yes! Oh god I can't even look, and the animal print....oh the animal print YIKES
This is the daughter of a close friend of mine. DH sent me a message shortly after this was posted on FB and just said "Please. Don't." I love my friends and their daughter dearly, but thats just a bit much. Its 100% her style though. Shes one of those "over the top, platinum extensions, spray tanned the whole pregnancy" kind of people.

I have a friend that just had a girl that's like that too. She posted all these outfits she got her that are big, frilly and animal print. I hate, hate animal print.
Good luck @LUCKY22! Keep us updated.
UO: I much prefer nerdy names to trendy names. I'd rather meet little Arthur, Mortimer, Gladys or Betsy than Rock, Maverick, Kinslee or Makenna. That being said, I have no idea where Waylon falls on that spectrum.
I don't think Sperry topsiders are appropriate to wear to the office, especially with cropped pants. It's come to my attention lately that this may be a UO where I work, and I don't get it.
I hate when people do the "Every.Single.Day." thing.
It also bugs me when people online refer to their children and significant other by their first initial. It just reminds me of pretentious mommy blogs, which I also hate. What makes a person assume that everyone reading a post knows who W, S, and A are? I would prefer that everyone stick to the DH/DD/DS system.

I've been MIA for a while since I moved but I'm back now and my UO this week is that while I sincerely appreciate the thought, I am very picky about what I'm willing to accept as hand me downs and used items. Maybe because I'm a FTM mom? Either way, your trash bag full of clothes and blankets that has been rotting in your garage for years scares me. and your thrice used 10+ year old bouncer seat is gross. I would much rather buy new items, TBH.

Classic country? Definitely not cutesy trendy. I only say country because my cousin is Waylon after Waylon Jennings. His older brother is named after Willie Nelson, but at least my aunt put her foot down when it came to naming the youngest after Merle Haggard. I like Waylon.

Totally with you on that one. MIL has given me several of DH's baby outfit from 30years ago. They are polyester, have food stains and smell like musky basement, even after washing. Seriously. What am I suppose to do with that?? Put DD in it, take a picture, send to MIL, take clothes off DD.

never thought i'd enjoy a bare belly shot, but a good friend took one of DH kissing my belly and it's totes adorbs.
add me on fbook and maybe you'll find it. or dont. that's cool too. the amount of cyberstalking done to track me down doesn't validate me anyway...or something. right? ya.
UO #1 it's been said before but i dont care. the humblebrags are starting to make me twitch. UO#2 i've been noticing topics coming up that we have discussed ions ago, and yet they seem to reoccur over and over. this makes me wish those who lurked had been more involved in some previous discussions. UO#3 naming our baby Adelyn has posed a dilemma: people automatically assume it's ok to call her "Addie". I'm not big on picking a name for the nickname. if you like the nickname so much, name your kid that. i'm just not sure how to politely correct people... my sister was explaining my name preference to a mutual friend and she just insisted people are going to call her "Addie" no matter what. annoying.
That's all I got...but it is a UO. An UO. But that just sounds wrong. Buh.
I effing hate ketchup! Ugh it's just sugary salty tomato paste.
Another UO, I dislike cartoon shirts or nursery decor for kids. It's just tacky. It seems to be a go to for boys clothes, but I hate it. This is why older boys and lots of men don't know how to dress appropriately and dress down for occasions. No you cannot wear a cartoon shirt with a blazer or converse (or worse, black tennis shoes) with slacks and call it semi formal.
The money, esp cash assistance, given to people on Welfare/gov't assistance should be tracked. I am talking if receipts aren't kept to show what it is used for the benefit should be revoked.
If my sister can tell me that she hasn't taken her 4 mos old to a dr
since birth because she can't afford to get a copy of her birth
certificate from the hospital, there is no reason on this earth why she
should be paying a $200/mo cable bill, that she pays for with assistance
$$.
@copperpoppy I couldn't agree more. My mom bought DD a hideous yo gabba gabba hoodie yesterday. Luckily they only had a 12 month and DD is 15 months so hopefully it doesn't fit for long!
That's all I got...but it is a UO. An UO. But that just sounds wrong. Buh.
I always thought you just put ketchup on something that tastes shitty because you don't wanna taste it. But then like, why would you eat that gross food anyway? Ketchup is nast.
UO: I hate Winnie the Pooh. Hate it. Hate it. Haaaaate it.
ugh me too, I'm glad I'm not the only one.
My UO (at least I think it's prob going to be a uo): I hate the word colostrum! It totally squicks me out to an embarrassing level - even typing it made me gag a little
I can't stand the new Florida Georgia Line song. It's to Nickelback for me, not that I don't want to be a big rockstar and trade this life for fortune and fame but it doesn't belong in-between George Strait and Miranda Lambert.

This. My SS is almost 8, so I wasn't an influence in the earliest parts of his life, which is made obvious by all the Angry Birds, Lego Star Wars, and Nerf shirts he wears. To every. Occasion. The first time we all went somewhere nice together, we had to go buy the child a shirt to wear. He had zero non-cartoon shirts. Literally zero. He still gets ever so mad at me every time I make him wear something that doesn't have cartoons on it. I feel like I'd handle it a little better, too, if they weren't just the most atrocious of all the cartoon shirts. It's not just one Angry Bird. It's all of them. Flying. With speech and "bam!" bubbles everywhere.
Sometimes I daydream about burning them all....by "sometimes" I mean "often," including, but not limited to, this very moment.
I'm glad the avatar thing is not just my problem.
My UO is that even though I consider myself pretty tech savvy, I only want to use iPhones. My husband has had droid phones for the last few years and constantly tells me they are better. My brain just can't handle it. It's just too complicated. My iPhones last forever and I just don't understand the appeal of a huge screen that doesn't fit in my pocket. Now if only iPhones were less expensive.
Not really a UO but this abundance of engagement rings has made me decide to quit being lazy and actually use a real pic for my avatar. I never realized how much that helps me identify the poster. No wonder I get picked last at dodge ball ...
Now, if only all the people who don't think they needed a siggy would follow this logic.
My UO is that I really love winter time. I love snow and sweaters and anxiously watching the weather channel when snow is expected. I hate that people have to be out in that kind of weather, but I still love the snow.
I can't stand the new Florida Georgia Line song. It's to Nickelback for me, not that I don't want to be a big rockstar and trade this life for fortune and fame but it doesn't belong in-between George Strait and Miranda Lambert.
Gah. Yes. And the fact that "cruise" is the most downloaded country song of all time or whatever rubs me wrong. It doesn't sound too country to me.

THANK YOU.
My daughter does't leave the house without a headband (or sometime piggys) but they are reasonably sized, not obnoxious and in the middle of her forehead like a damn unicorn.
Unnecessarily huge and actually really ugly:
