Just found out friends lost everything due to a house fire :(

I am so heartbroken for them. Luckily there were no injuries! They do have 3 kids (DDs 7 and 5, DS 3). The house has been burning for like 7 hours and people have already poured on the donations and gift card!! :) The girls were sad about losing everything (bedrooms, toys, clothes, dance stuff...) so I have spent the last few hours making a list of dance items to get them. I was so enthralled in it, that I totally forgot tonight was Wednesday and I didn't even take my DD to her dance class. Ooops. I am not the type of person to ask strangers for prayers (and there's nothing wrong with that for those that do) but I do ask that you take a moment to take it all in. I know we all appreciate everything we have, but sometimes we can forget how fast it can all be gone.

    So sorry that happened I am so glad that everyone is safe I hope they have really good insurance coverage

    Aw I am sorry to hear this.  I will be praying for them.  Same thing just happened to a couple I know as well with 3 kids, it`s definetely devastating.

    What a scary event for those poor kids.  I'm sorry your friends are going through this..
    Me-41, Hubby-40.
    1st BFP-8/17/12!  Missed Miscarriage discovered @ 8 week US.  D&C.
    2nd BFP-2/13/13!  Blighted Ovum discovered @ 8 week US. Natural miscarriage.
    3rd BFP-5/22/13!  By early June, progesterone plummeting.  Another loss.
    August 2013 - started Donor Egg process, but surprise BFP with my own eggs.

    That is such a terrible ordeal to go through. My parents and brothers lost their house (and my childhood home) to a house fire mid January of last year. Everyone made it out but they lost 3 family cats and literally everything they owned.

    Thoughts and prayers to your friends. It will be hard to think of all they lost, but so important to be thankful that it was only material objects and that they still have each other.

    So sorry! DH and I went through that a few years after we were married, but it was just an apartment, and we didn't have kids yet. Would be SO much harder and scarier with little ones! So glad they are ok and will be praying for them!

    Luckily his Mom lives right across the street (his dad passed away 2 years ago, and she LOVES having her kids and grand kids around). He also has a brother and 2 sister in the surrounding towns. She has a sister very close too....as well has her parents.

    That is so sad.  I cannot imagine.  I'm glad to hear they have family nearby and helpful neighbors and friends.  That must be so, so difficult.
