I tend to shop A LOT for baby items, even though I don't quite have a baby yet. I like to snag up deals left and right and into the spare room they go! Before I knew it a nursery was formed!! My nursery will be complete as soon as I get a high chair & changing table... Probably not good for my mental health, but oh well. lol. I figured why waste all this time? When I could be going ahead and getting ready for our next LO. I've even picked out future NAMES. Safe to say im obsessed.

So for anyone else that has started their "Planned Parenthood" shopping also,

1) What all have you purchased?

2) Are you sticking to gender neutral colors, FX for a certain gender, or doing your own design?

3) How does S/O feel about you buying things?

4) Have you picked out your future LO's names?

5) Any new gadgets or gizmo's (baby related) that have come out since your DD/DS that you definitely want next time around?

1) What all have you purchased?

Crib, Crib Mattress, Dresser, Stroller, car seat, Diaper genie, Bouncer, swing, Play mat, Pack n Play, Up right car seat (ya know for when the other one gets to small, lol)

2) Are you sticking to gender neutral colors, FX for a certain gender, or doing your own design?

Im buying everything in gender neutral colors, really hoping for a DS though.

3) How does S/O feel about you buying things?

He is 100% supportive, We would rather get everything in advance and at a discount then wait until im actually PG and spend the pregnancy trying to get prepared.

4) Have you picked out your future LO's names?

We've only picked out a DS name, and I chose Nathan, It means "God Gave" and I believe its quite fitting. Undecided on a middle name though.

5) Any new gadgets or gizmo's (baby related) that have come out since your DD/DS that you definitely want next time around?

There are SO many new thing that have come out since DD was born, Im probably going to try all of them! lol

We haven't purchased anything because we still have everything left from Hunter.

2) Are you sticking to gender neutral colors, FX for a certain gender, or doing your own design?

Everything we bought the first go round was pretty gender neutral. Our nursery that Hunter is in now is pretty gender neutral too-- it's an owl/woodland creature theme with greens, reds and blues-- so we shouldn't have to redecorate. I would love love love to have a little girl, but something tells me when it's all said and done I am going to have a herd of boys.

4) Have you picked out your future LO's names?

If we have a girl, I am gunning for Elsie Diane. Elsie is my grandmother's name and Diane is my husband's aunt who passed away 5 years ago. Beyond that, I really like Allison. If it's another boy, the middle name will probably be James (after my brother) and I think I like Tyler or Trevor for a first name.

5) Any new gadgets or gizmo's (baby related) that have come out since your DD/DS that you definitely want next time around?

Apparently the miracle blanket was around when Hunter was born, but I knew nothing of it. The next time around I am 100% getting a body pillow to support that big ole belly.

2) Are you sticking to gender neutral colors, FX for a certain gender, or doing your own design? Clearly we have girl stuff coming out our ears. I think "boy" colors would shock me!

4) Have you picked out your future LO's names? We've always said Harrison for a boy after my Grandpa Harry. I really like Bailey or Hadley for a girl.

5) Any new gadgets or gizmo's (baby related) that have come out since your DD/DS that you definitely want next time around? Those rocker bassinet things!! Where the heck were those 5.5yrs ago when DD1 was sleeping in her car seat? Def gonna get me one of those.

SM, this is why I am your SK because I LOVE your "Planned Parenthood" approach! It might get me in trouble but I love it!

1) What all have you purchased? Cloth diapers, I pink sparkly heart them!

2) Are you sticking to gender neutral colors, FX for a certain gender, or doing your own design? I have picked pretty gender neutral diapers.

3) How does S/O feel about you buying things? He's okay with it as long as we can "afford it" wink, wink. We can always afford cloth diapers, haha!

4) Have you picked out your future LO's names? Yes, well we've narrowed it down to the top two picks (and I have an extra one for a boy if DH will cave). Girl name will either be Arden Sophia or Shelby Iris.Boy name will be Mack Preston or Corban Preston unless we have twins or adopt twins then they would be Mack Everett and Corban Preston. I am working on get DH on board with Cormac Preston :-D

5) Any new gadgets or gizmo's (baby related) that have come out since your DD/DS that you definitely want next time around? All of them, bwahaha!

Nothing. I am in the "don't count your chickens before they're hatched" boat.

If we have another girl I will just keep the nursery the same and move DD into the spare bedroom, making it her big girl room. If we have a boy, I want to do the nursery in a nautical theme.

3) How does S/O feel about you buying things?

Like I said, I haven't bought anything but he would probably be ok with it if I did.

4) Have you picked out your future LO's names?

No first names picked out but I do have middle names picked out! Joseph for a boy, it is DH's middle name as well as his father's middle name. Mary for a girl, it was my grandmas name who passed away (we were close).

5) Any new gadgets or gizmo's (baby related) that have come out since your DD/DS that you definitely want next time around?

I don't think that much has changed since DD. I am sure there will be some new things out when we finally get PG that I will buy something. All the big things we bought for DD were neutral so I can reuse them.

I won't let myself buy new but I bought mostly gender neutral items for DS and I have HOARDED EVERYTHING of his.

I have sterilized bottles packed in ziplock bags and then packed into plastic storage containers.

I kept ALL his clothes only throwing away stuff that was stained.

Not only did I save it all but I took meticulous care of everything.

Lol, Well.. I look at it like this, Im buying this stuff at a major discount, (Im a clearance junkie) So if it doesn't work out, I can turn around and sell this junk for a much higher price and make a profit off of it. Hopefully that wont be necessary, but im not breaking the bank to stock up ykwim? My Matching Crib & Dresser, solid wood from babies R us... (gorgeous btw) cost me 90.00 bucks! I can easily turn around and make 500-600 (If not more) off of the set. I know a lot of people think it's crazy of me to be buying things, but irdgaf, in the end Im either gonna have a baby im prepared for or one hell of an investment to cash in on! :P

to each their own -kwim? I buy bulk pregnancy tests even though I know BFPs are not likely but take them anyway.

I've started to hit the gym more here recently (there are zero pregnant people at the gym I've come to realize!) so it's been a haven for me lately (good for my waistline I suppose)

I did almost buy a cute maternity top at goodwill once! Seriously was THISCLOSE

I think we do whatever we can in this situation. If we have to indulge in a little bit of crazy to stay sane - so be it!

2) Are you sticking to gender neutral colors, FX for a certain gender, or doing your own design? The things I got were girl things, but I look for boy things too, I'm not really into gender neutral. People always need shit, so I will just donate what we don't need for another LO.

3) How does S/O feel about you buying things? In general? He feels that I buy too many things.

4) Have you picked out your future LO's names? Yes, hundreds. I'm going to put them all in a hat and pick out names by chance. I've also named @freakyfast's frosty Pentunia, and I love her.

Oh this reminds me, I got a free video monitor back when BRU was having that big sale on shit- so I shopped for DD but I got the freebies for future LOs, well actually I sent the free diaper bag to my sis.. I just kept the video monitor.

Ha-Ha I FEEL your pain. Mine is three and hell on wheels somedays. Tell her not to throw something, she looks at the floor then looks at me out of the top of her head and then flings her toy. Just because I told her not too.

She has run aways from her teacher before and run into another class and made the whole bus late going home because they had to corral her onto the bus.

If we have another boy, I'll move DS out of the nursery and will probably do a lot of DIY decoration for his new room. If we have a girl, I will probably turn the spare bedroom into her nursery since it's already painted a girlish kind of color and I hate painting. Again, I'll probably do some DIY decorations.

3) How does S/O feel about you buying things? He doesn't pay attention to finances at all but I haven't bought anything anyway.

4) Have you picked out your future LO's names? No, but I do think about it and pay attention to names I hear and like.

5) Any new gadgets or gizmo's (baby related) that have come out since your DD/DS that you definitely want next time around? A video monitor is one thing I wish we had invested in with DS, and I'll probably splurge on one with LO #2. And if we have a girl, I'll probably buy some girly cloth diapers. Nothing new though that I feel like I have to have.

1& 2- Mostly clothes, I can add tutu to the boyish outfits if girl and big sister shirts... She will probably grow out of soon... Stupid unknown

3- Dh doesn't know, it turns into pity party for him that he has mfi and eff that- tired of hearing it when I'm trying go be positive and plan outfits over here,

4- yes, and hubs thinks if girl we are naming after his mom- hahahahaha poor sweetie doesn't realize he only gets a few vetos and no votes... But I let him dream for sake of peace. Pm me if you want to know her name- it's awful- I'm just paranoid she'll

5- not that I can think of, I found a few things, but they were around w dd just didn't know about them, like dragon stuffed animal attached to paci (not that dd took paci, but I got it for number two just in case)
