Hmm, back to work

Okay got a question for the working momma's. Today is my unofficial first day of work, I have to go in for two hours for health and safety training. We'll be putting those two hours on my time sheet next week when I'm back officially.

Hannah has been off today and yesterday. Now she IS growing a molar, but it's almost in. But she has been SUPER clingy, needy and I swear she just invented this new cry which sounds like her whole world is going to pieces. She especially likes to use it at nap and bed time. I can't even go to the bathroom alone without her freaking out.

Did your babies sense when you were going back to work? Do we as mom's unintentionally start acting differently knowing work is coming, like stress out? Thoughts, comments? Please tell me it gets better and she'll get used to me being at work

I have no clue on this since your daughter is so much older than DS when he went to daycare (at 3 months) But either way like anything else she will have an adjustment period

It will get better. Everything feels that much worse when you head back to work, their cries, etc.

Yep def age thing. My son now cries when I leave the room or go pee as we'll but didn't before. It's just because they are more aware but daycare is good for them. All that fun interaction with other kiddos!

Okay, sounds like it's an age thing. Oh this sucks

I work a lot of evenings and she hasn't been going to sleep very well for hubby. Today I was out until 8:40 (she normally is asleep by 7:40-7:50) and when I came home she was wide awake, she'd been crying for about an hour. I nursed her put her back to bed and bam, asleep in minutes.

Eta: she was with hubby, he didn't just abandon her crying, I feel I should clarify that.

DS started getting super clingy around 11 months too. For him, it was just a phase.

Even though he's 13 months now, he'll get clingy after I return from an out-of-town work trip. I work from home other days, so he seems me several times during the day, but if I'm gone all day or overnight, I know I'll pay for it for a day or two afterward.

Going back to work is such an adjustment period- I hope it gets better soon!
