Cramping Usual?

Hi All, I was just curious if cramping is normal after the implamantaion stage? I have had not severe or even really painful but definitely cramping in my uterus all day yesterday. I"m only 4 weeks, but starting to get the uneasy feeling. Any responses would be appreciated.

Thanks, D

  • Cramping is normal as long as it is not extremely painful and/or accompanied by bright red blood.
  • Thank you both @WashingtonQueen & @ellaef1984 !!

A little reassurance goes a long way!!

  • Cramping after implantation is definitely normAl. I am 4 1/2 weeks and I have cramping as well. Almost like a weak period cramping. I have been nervous about it but my dr said cramping is normal as long as it's not extremely painful. Like some other people have said to me, the uterus is stretching and growing to accommodate baby so that is why cramping occurs. Hope this helps and congrats!! It's the most exciting experience and these boards are such a great tool to help get us through the uneasy times! :)
  • Normal. I'm between 7 and 8 weeks and I have a little bit of cramping every day.

No blood/spotting, no pain, you're good.
  • It's definitely normal. Like PPs have said, as long as there's no blood or pain, you're ok.

  • Thanks ya'll!

Okay so I'm going to probably ask all the dumb questions within this first week of finding out, but you all are going through the same thing so it's very exciting to talk/inquire to others about this.

When you don't feel anything do you get nervous? I expect you don't feel everything all the time, but I feel like I'm constantly in my head doubting....is this just crazy?!?

  • Normal! I had cramping with both my girls, with DD#2, I was around 8 weeks when it finally tapered off!

  • Totally normal. My cramps come and go. I don't get nervous -- mostly because I've been so miserable with my 'morning' sickness that any reprieve (anywhere!) is welcome.

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • Had it with all 3 of my pregnancies.  Seems worse during the evening for me, which probably means it's at least somewhat correlated to doing too much (at least for me).

  • I have had some very minor cramping as well.It feels like a little pinch. My husband worries about it, but I just tell him Baby is snuggling in and getting comfortable. I am 4 weeks as well. And honestly, it might be gas.
