We did the whole thing. It isn't a very dark grey. We only have one south facing window in the room so it doesn't get a ton of natural light either. I'll attach pics from different angles so you can see. It's a cloudy day, too.
Also, the paint we buy gives a "light reflective value". The higher the number, the more light is reflected. This grey (Argos by Sherwin-Williams) is LRV 50 so it is average.
Butting in- this looks great. I'm boring and our nuseries are always a beige color with sponging to mix it up. I wish I had the courage to throw some colors on the wall.

It really is lovely on the wall! In our old house we used Zircon by Sherwin-Williams (LRV=58). It is a cool version of Argos if you have more cool tones than warm tones.
This one we bought from Craigslist, but we have the same one in white for DD so we were confident in the choice. It's a great crib and we will use both as full size beds when the kids get bigger.
I love the grey! We were deciding between a soft grey and a soft brown, and ended up going with the latter but I still love the look of grey walls in a nursery!
@kimmyberly26 I am not bold either! The paint store had a promotion where their interior designer would come to your house if you bought a $75 gift card. She picked the colors in our whole house...I can't take credit!
I did all grey for our current guest room. I figure when this one gets older and we have another one they can transition into that room and personalize it however they wish. I agree, it's not dark at all! I love looking at nurseries even though ours is already painted. Looks awesome @LilNunz1!
we have not even started on a nursery for the twins yet. It is currently our guest room and we have furniture that has to be moved before we can even get anything going in there...
@Lilnunz1 I love the gray. I done my bedroom in a light colored gray it gives a lot of flexibility on other colors that can be played with it!
I love the color of your furniture ours is the same. We had a nice dresser already the same color so we bought the crib to match. We actually picked out a bright green paint and tried it on the wall last night... It's much different than the grey I originally planned on
I think we should start a post : share your nursery pics
Love it! We did grey walls in our nursery for DS1 too and I find it so incredibly peaceful and calming. I think we used Benjamin Moore revere pewter. I love it so much I want to use it for this nursery too.

I left the light off so you can see how it looks with no inside light.
Yes, pics!!

I was thinking of gray for walls too. Love it. I'll have to show The Hubs to see if he'll go for it.
