Re: TTGP IF Check In

  • I am currently 10 dpo on cycle #27.

    Got my Clomid Challenge results back. I haven't spoken with my RE about them yet. It seems like maybe everything is OK (with the exception of an elevated E2 level on CD3). My husband's SA came back great!

    CD10 Blood work (12/22/13)

    FSH – 3.24 mIU/mL

    LH – 5.28 mIU/mL

    CD3 Blood work (12/15/13)

    Estradiol (E2) – 103 pg/mL

    FSH – 3.85 mIU/mL

    LH – 7.73 mIU/mL

    Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) – 1.72 ng/mL

  • @TammyDoubleB That's great about your results! Hope you get to meet with your RE soon. I'll be doing the Clomid Challenge this month.

  • Looks like we're gonna have to wait another cycle again! I need to have Cd 3-5 monitoring before starting medication and I'm pretty sure we will be in Mexico during that window.

    I'm tired of nothing new happening :(

    QOTD - #1 Pet Peeve is people that are constantly late. If we agree on a time, than manage to be there at this time. I don't understand how someone can NEVER be on time. Drives me crazy.

  • Not too much to update. I'm still waiting for AF to show after my loss. Hopefully it will be here by Friday. I counted the day of my D&C as cd 1, however I know it's not really CD 1. My cycles are usually 29 days, so I can only hope it will show on Friday.  I haven't been temping so I have no idea if I O'ed or not.

    QOTW
    In everyday life, what is your number one pet peeve? I have a lot of pet peeves LOL. It drives me crazy when people chew like a cow. I don't understand why people don't chew with their mouth closed.
  • Well I'm in my first 2WW since my mc and I'm at 4dpo and started spotting today just like I did the last time I was pregnant that ended in a mc. I've lost all hope, just waiting it out. I have another appt with my RE next Friday to go over all my results from all my test and discuss where to go from here. I'm suppose to do a Hcg trigger and progesterone next cycle, well see what he says.

    They did call me last week about the genetic testing was normal. So SA far everything is normal just bad luck.

    Fucking bump!!!!
  • Hugs, @Pintobean39.

    @katiewest yeah for you husband coming home I know you are excited!

    @jconno I'm sorry about cd1

    @milagros315 good luck

    That's difficult because I'm mobile. I hope I didn't forget anyone.

    I have a question. My FSH was 7.4 .... That is good right? They told me it was normal I just tammi was in the 3 range.

    Oh and @tammydoubleb good test results I think I'm still learning what is and isn't good.
    Fucking bump!!!!
  • @TammyDoubleB Thanks! Glad your husbands SA results were normal! :-)
  • @Pintobean39 - 7.4 is probably good. Mine was 8.something and I was a little bothered by it, but my RE was fine with it. I know they want you to have an FSH below 10 for IVF (and you can get denied from some programs if it's higher than 10). It's also important to look at the ratio of LH to FSH. Check out this website: https://www.fertilityplus.com/faq/hormonelevels.html

    Yes, @Pintobean39, 7.4 is good.

    Milagros315. My ratio was greater than 2:1 on CD3 but not quite that high on CD10. What do ya think? Still indicative of PCOS? I mean...I have other symptoms of PCOS, but my previous RE didn't officially diagnose me. I think he should have based on several other symptoms. He didn't, because I passed the 3-hour glucose tolerance test...my insulin was high at hour 2, but everything else was in normal range. So, I passed.

    To be honest, I don't really know anything about it (because it wasn't an issue for me) I just know that it's something they look at. If they didn't mention anything, then it probably wasn't a concern for you but it can't hurt to ask your doctor about it next time you talk to them!

    I'm mobile which makes tagging everyone a pain... But hugs and prayers to all who need them! I'm still sore from my two 7cm hemorrhagic cysts. I'm 13dpIUI and forgot to test because I had to pee so badly this morning. Yesterday was a BFN so I'm really just waiting for AF. I will be benched until these cysts go away. Frustrated is an understatement, 30 freakin months? Screw you, IF.

    QOTW - I'm with PP about the blinker. It makes me stabby.
    TTC#2 Since July 2011
    Me: 29, had two blocked tubes - left was cleared during lap, right was unable to be cleared. PCOS & Stage 2 Endo. DH: 32, SA = perfect
    CLOMID: 4 rounds, 50mg + TI = BFN's. FEMARA: 1 round = no response

    Cycle #14 - Feb 2013 : 50mg clomid. Ovidrel Trigger. IUI on 2/14/13 = thin lining, multiple cysts.
    Cycle #15 - no meds, still have cysts, no follicles. Boo!
    Forced break. Continuous BCP for 6 weeks to give my jacked up ovaries a break.
    Cycle #16 actively trying (May/June): Femara, TI = BFN

    @packerfan4life. I've always heard your progesterone should be above 10. Then again I'm not sure.

    Thanks everyone for the answer, I have another question, the nurse told me the FSH changes every month. Does it change a lot? Would mine go from 7.4 this month to 15 next?
    Fucking bump!!!!
  • No update for me just waiting for my RE follow up. I am getting anxious wanting to know the results from the RPL testing.

    QOTWIn everyday life, what is your number one pet peeve? People that feel they are entitled to get and have everything when they don't work to provide for themselves or family or do anything to run their house hold to care for their family.

    Married in September 2010, started TTC journey November 2012

    Me-

    7 IUI- 2 CP- 2 BFN

    RPL blood work 12/27, showed a balance translocation in chromosome 11;22

    Spouse-

    PCOS 4 IUI-4 BFN

    New Plan: Reciprocal IVF, me as carrier wife's eggs. Just went through insurance and received partial approval, so my part will go through my IVF benefits and wife's part will be out of pocket. Now just finalizing finance plans to cover the oop costs. Doctors office is in process of moving to a new building so there are no IVF start ups until March/April 2015.

  • @KrissyLeighN It will be ok! It's definitely not the most pleasant thing ever, but nothing you can't handle. Don't cancel it - you're only going to have to do it later and the fear will be greater.

    Very positive thoughts going out to all of you.  To all going through testing or waiting for results or pending IUI, I hope you all find a way to stay sane and relax.  Hopefully that's a little easier now that the holidays are behind us.  To all just waiting for the next opportunity, especially @spookster, I'm sending positive thoughts your way.

    @TammyDoubleB That's great that your husbands SA results came back good!  I still haven't gotten MH to do it yet, which is foolish, but I think he feels pressure.  We have the take home kit so any day now.

    @katiewest  Here's to HIO over and over and over and over again!

    @jconno Good luck!

    @macylynn27 FX for positive results!

    @EmeJay I hope you enjoy Mexico over the short hiatus, please enjoy a libation or two or three for the rest of us while you are there!

    @jaytee16 Good luck and fx for Wednesdays IUI!

    @meatandbandp  Good luck, you must be so anxious, but I hope you're able to relax while you wait.

    @pintobean39 I'm not sure what those results mean, but I really hope that's a good thing.  I just had the first set of bloodwork done on my first consult appointment (CD 22) and then just yesterday at CD4, but they aren't sharing the results until "all of the testing is done".  All the doctor will say is, everything looks good so far. Did they do that with you too? I had an elevated prolactin level, but they wanted to retest that apparently.  I had the original prolactin taken in the afternoon and from what I've read they said that stress or nervousness (even about getting the blood work done) can elevate it, as can some medicine - and I do take asthma and allergy medicine so I'm hoping it's that.

    AFM, I have the HSG today and I am SOOOO nervous for it.  In the paperwork they gave me they note, "if you have a history of anaphylactic reactions tell the doctor" and now that's all I can think about.  I've twice had anaphylactic reactions to food after exercising (weird uncommon thing) and have to carry an epi-pen for it.  I told the doctor yesterday and he goes, "it shouldn't be a problem".  I'm sorry, I'm still scared.  If you've ever had one, you know how freaking scary it is to not be able to breathe.  I'm debating cancelling it, I'm that scared.

    @KrissyLeighN - Thank you for the sweet thought =) I am sorry you're nervous! but you can do this! Keep your chin up I will be thinking of you today! I agree 100% with @EmeJay

  • @krissyleighn. Yes that's what they told me but I have only talked to the nurses so far. I guess when I meet with my dr next week I'll be prepared to ask more questions and get him to explain "how good" to me. Good luck with your hsg. I had mine right before Christmas and I was a little nervous too, but it really wasn't bad, just uncomfortable and I leaked crap for days (I was not aware of the leaking before).

    Well I go in on Friday for a baseline ultrasound to see if this pesky stupid cyst is gone. I'm worried/anxious about it. I have had do many damn cyst issues I am ready to lash out! So next week I will either be taking fertility drugs or coming down from my alcohol induced week long bender.

    Eta: mobile doesn't like me.
    @jconno I'm sorry your cycle has started over.
    @spookster I'm sorry your body hates you. You can join in on my bender if you want.
