Thanks for asking. He looked on the ultrasound and saw nothing at all. However my second beta came back slightly higher. (Tuesday - 320, Thursday - 380)
If it were going to complete on its own they'd expect the levels to be falling. So I need to repeat in a few days. I will keep you posted...
Dr wants a 3rd blood draw and to try methotrexate early next week. Any advice is welcome. I know I should post on a loss board but I don't know those ladies.

If they found no tissue inside your uterus, what do they guess is causing the bleeding?
My second loss my numbers went up a hair before they plummeted. I m/c naturally. Normally numbers like double daily so I would say if it is barely going up and you weren't far enough along for them to even see anything then you should have good chances of a natural m/c. Not that a m/c at all is ideal, but I guess that is the best in a bad situation.

@ziegeficker they're concerned about an ectopic pg. with my low numbers it's still too small to see on u/s. I'm also having pain which is consistent with ectopic.
@nealbl thanks for the encouragement. We'll see on Monday if the # starts to go down, I'm really hoping that's what happens.
On the + side, my specialist is top notch, so I feel I can trust him.
That's great that you trust your Dr - that really helps. I don't have any experience with ectopic pregnancy, so can't offer anything there, other than hugs and good luck, but my experience with drugs (am sure it's the same one, can't remember the name) and a D&C are that they REALLY aren't as bad as you expect. The thought of them is awful, but going through them wasn't so dire. As PP mentioned, there is the closure, where you know that everything is done.
@CBeanz, I'm going to cross all my fingers and toes that you are not suffering an ectopic. But I hope you find the cause of your bleeding soon, because it does seem abnormal. My early losses resembled nothing more than a heavy period -- I really hope everything is ok! Keep us updated, ok?
Also, the new siggy pic is adorable...just had to throw that in there.
@momtobe2912I was referring to ectopic laparoscopy surgery. But I'm glad to hear your D&C wasn't too bad. Whatever happens I will definitely insist on following up with an u/s!
My understanding is that Methotrexate is a chemo drug used to terminate ectopic pregnancies - different from Misoprostol which induces labor to eliminate uterine (m/c) tissue. Recovery after Methotrexate sounds like a bitch.
Thanks for keeping everything crossed @Ziegeficker! Thanks for thinking of me, everyone. Still hoping this will just end on its own, although 3.5 weeks in it seems like a long shot.

@Mrs_Lady so sorry to hear about your lost year. Do you remember what your numbers were when you got the shot?
To be honest i really blocked it out my memory since it was my first pregnancy and so emotionally tragic to go through a loss. I think first time numbers were around 1000 or so but u/s did not show anything at close to 6 weeks despite rising beta so i had to get shot . Im so sorry!

So sorry about all you are going through. I had an ectopic 12 years ago. I caught it early and was treated with methotrexate. I was already having vaginal bleeding (looked like prune juice) and my hcg was around 2000 before injections. I actually had 3 shots (1 every other day) and my hcg was monitored. I had a slight increase then they dropped. There wasn't any cramping. I did have some right sided tube pain after my first shot which made me very nervous about a possible rupture. But it was gone within another day or so. I was able to start trying again after a few months. Good luck to you in your recovery.
@mrs_lady I'm so sorry you had such a difficult experience. Thank you for sharing with me. I'm so glad you had your beautiful baby after all you went through.
@nurserynightnight glad to hear your MTX experience was a little more tolerable (if that's the right word).
Just got my blood drawn and counsel from the dr. Now I wait to hear my numbers.
