I don't care about a FB group - I stopped by to see what the drama was about.

What I don't get is why people who "aren't ready" to join a FB group don't just ignore this post? You have legitimate reasons for not wanting to. Let people who ARE interested seek it out. They have legitimate reasons too. But, it's the same vocal people who have to be snarky and tell OP to stop posting. Why can't the other side just stop reading posts that don't interest them?

I know this will likely put me on a post it somewhere, but I honestly just don't get why there needs to be the negative responses. If you don't want to join a FB just don't read the post. To me, that seems fairly simple. There's no need to make those who do want the group feel like they are wrong just because they don't agree.

Not a fan of FB groups forming early as spin-offs of BMBs. Here's what happened on my last BMB:

Early in 2nd tri, a FB group is created (FBG#1)

Bunch of Bumpies joined

BMB gets sloooowwww

Bumpies left behind want to join FBG#1

Members of FBG#1 say no, we don't know you guys (even tho many were long time Bumpies and early posters on the BMB)

Left behind Bumpies create FBG#2

Some member of FBG#1 join FBG#2; personal info is shared across groups => FBgate 2011

Much drama ensues

BMB is decimated by defections to FBG#1 and FBG#2

Crickets.

Everyone I've seen saying they want to be part this FB group, I've never seen them post. I would not want to be in a group with someone I've never talked to.

I'm on a PGAL board on FB. I went to TTCAL, PGAL, and PAL with them. I've met my best friends on that group but it took us that long to get a group going on FB and we knew each other for years.

@allardr if your profile is private and you don't friend someone, they wouldn't have access to your pics just because of a fb group. Btw, not trying to recruit you, just if you wanted to join the future group......;)

if you go into FB, go to your privacy settings, timeline and tagging, then there's this link on the right that says "

Who can see things on my timeline?"

there's a link that they let you click so you can see what your fb looks like to people who arent your friends.

if you see your location and stuff, you'll have to change that in your settings.

I believe the only picture that you cannot make private is your cover photo- all other pictures can be private.

I'm totally ok with whoever joining the current FB group if they want to. Truth be told, if they are a lurker here I don't think they are going to be allowed into any group that is made later down the road, so I'm for them finding a FB home where possible.

ETA: lurker or BSC -- this post it's will pay off.
