@AMT1107 when you take your LO on the flight are you getting him headphones to go with the nook?  We are flying with DD at the end of the month and have started practicing wearing headphones at home, so I was just curious. She really loves music videos so we plan to have her watch them, although the flight is during her nap time so ideally she would sleep.

    I didn't even think of headphones, that's a great idea. DS also loves to listen to music videos.   Did you find headphones to fit her head/ears?

     We will work on that... he does love to wear daddy's headphones though...

    We got the Kidzgear ones for her for Christmas from amazon.  They are for 2 and up, but still fit her good.  I had heard multiple people rec them.  Honestly, I didn't even think of needing headphones until DH pointed out that the people sitting around us on the plane probably didn't want to listen to gangnam style on repeat for 2 hours.

    Thanks I'll check them out.  So very true about nobody around us wanting to hear songs on repeat.  DS loves The Gummy Bear song.

    Maybe it's just me but I am nervous about flying with DS... who knows how he is going to be and I feel like we are packing the house/car for the trip.  Car seat, stroller, my backpack,a small backpack for DS and whatever DH decides to bring on the plane.

    DD loves the gummy bear song too!  It is so weird what she likes, though, some music videos that even I find boring (like Lorde's Royals) she is completely entranced with and other ones that are bright and colorful, like Disney songs, she won't watch. 

    I flew with her last year and it went pretty smooth.  We gate checked the carseat/stroller but this year we bought her a ticket so we have to install the car seat on the plane. I figure me worrying about it now isn't going to change what actually ends up happening the day of the flight, ya know?  And I'm not too worried about the packing since I travel back and forth so much to visit my family (they're in eastern PA and I'm in Western) I've got it down what I need to pack.  Also we're flying Southwest so don't have to worry about the bag limit.   

    What airport are you flying out of?  We're pretty limited out here but I hear there are some good deals in your area- from the Trenton and Scranton airports.

    We also bought DS a seat, so we are going to install the seat on the plane. The airports that we fly out of and into are both pretty small.  We have the first row on both flights so I'm hoping we can do the car seat without it being a problem to other passengers. 

    We are flying out of Lehigh Valley International (formerly ABE) in Allentown.   We flight Allegient into Fort Myers, FL.

    We are checking 1 bag for the 3 of us ($50 each leg :(  ), staying with friends so we are going to mail down a lot of the stuff that we need.
