No really it's so cold here that school has been canceled tomorrow. With the windchill they are expecting temps to be -70F. Yes that's right -70F!!!! Now that's cold!!!! How cold is it where you're at?

It's finally warming up here a bit; temps are currently in the low 30's. DD1's preschool was canceled last Friday due to the temps. It was only 2 degrees out with a windchill of -13. Brrrrr.

Schools, including colleges, are already closed for tomorrow - it's forecasted for a high of +3 and a low of -5. We've already got 6+ inches of snow today, with many more inches of lake effect snow expected tomorrow.

Currently -1 but feels like -22. It's supposed to get as low as -45 with winds as high as 30 MPH. Schools are closed here too.

We have an outdoor dog and we brought him into the garage last night. He reluctantly goes outside to do his business but will gladly go if a vehicle is going by.

-70 is bad!

I think it's supposed to be down to -16 tomorrow at some point. Right now that's raining-I'm sure that will make for beautiful driving tomorrow. Luckily my district just cancelled school. DH is completely jealous

I live in up state ny and it's been real cold here the last few weeks. It's about 25 out know with a chance of frozen mix coming tonight or tomorrow. Just checked the weather for the week and not going to be a very warm week. Hope everyone stays warm.

we were in the low teens last night got up in the mid 50s today... the storm front just started really hitting here about 15 mins ago.... temps are dropping pretty fast suppose to get down to a negative 8 tonight.... honestly the coldest I have ever seen it here. I reckon that the state has already been declared ""in a state of emergency"

Its 57 here right now.. Im cold. Not as cold as you are, but cold enough to have the heating pad over my lap... We have no heater lol. I am glad its not that cold here. But its supposed to get to 30 tonight.. Thats when the heater blanket comes into play =]

I'm in SE WI and its supposed to be -50 tonight! Insane! Schools are closed tomorrow and pretty much the whole town will be closed... this is some crazy weather! Stay warm ladies!!!!

I think some people are confused here haha I'm assuming the -70 people are Celsius and 35 people are talking Fahrenheit lol.

Haha they did look miserable! I couldn't believe how many of them didn't even have sleeves on! I had a lot of friends in the stands, told them they were nuts and to not let their butts freeze to the seats! Lol

And @mrs.rahl the celcius thing might not be a mistake! The-50 for us is with wind chill, and its Fahrenheit although -70 might be C but who knows with this crazy weather! I wish mine was Celcius, I'd take that! Haha!

And one little boo hoo moment for me, my doctor appt is tomorrow morning and I'm going to have to cancel because of the cold. I want to hear my little beebee's heartbeat! It's killing me. .. won't be able to get in for another couple weeks either. Ugh. End boo hoo moment, lol

Here in Seattle, temps are in the 40's during the day! I am constantly cold. I would cry if I had to feel -70 windchill temps! Brrr!!

@MrsRahl the -70 is F but also includes the windchill. The actual air temp is -24F right now. It's the wind today that really going to get us. My furnace feels like it's been running nonstop since last night.

I'm a little south of Chicago, our current "real" temp is -13F, expected to get down -50s with wind chill. They cancelled my kids school in Friday, with the foot of snow that fell yesterday and then all the wind they closed my works office today too. Yaye for bonus days off!

@SNLT1012 We had a blizzard on Friday and the total accumulation was less then an inch. Only in North Dakota can we pull of a blizzard with no snow. I can't imagine it being this cold and turning around and shoveling the driveway! Yikes

Same here. In the negatives by noon, with those crazy cold winds going 35 MPH. For the first time in pretty much ever, the university I work at closed campus due to "risk of hypothermia and frostbite" that would come with walking around campus. I'm delighted to have the extra day off work, since this really never happens, but I can't quite wrap my head around that forecast.

Nonetheless, I'm countering it with a pot of steel cut oats with blackberries and walnuts and coffee (yes, a cup, how else would we survive?).

It's 25 F here today with a low of 6. All schools have been cancelled which is ridiculous since we have no snow. Oh wait, I just saw a snowflake. Silly Atlantans have no idea how to handle the winter.

At 10:00 CST in the Des Moines, Iowa area, we are at -11F with a windchill of -36F. The only good thing to me is that I have an Expectant Mothers parking spot at work which is a short walk. Otherwise, I'd be an ice sickle by the time I walked from my car.

We were braced for the snowpocalypse...and got an inch. Boo. But the temps fell throughout the night and right now it's 0 degrees outside with wind chills expected to reach around -30 (right now WC is -11). Brrrrrr!!!!

My temps are no where near you ladies but its supposed to drop below freezing (32°F) and I'm in FLORIDA!!! I can't go much further south without getting closer to more water as if 3 lakes within two miles aren't enough to make it colder. Florida is supposed to be hot and sunny and usually our winters were never below 60ish. The past few years its been as low as the 20s. I want warm sunshiney weather. My blood is too thin for this cold stuff.
