Birthday gift

When you are invited to a 1st birthday party with your twins what is a suitable gift to give?

  • I would say any age appropriate toy. Definitely a separate toy for each child. I would stay away from clothes, people
Always give us cute matching outfits but I personally prefer dressing them different & they have way more than they can ever wear!

  • do you mean a separate toy from each child to the one kid whose birthday party we are going to?
  • I would get one gift not one from each child. Personally I love zulily for birthday gifts because they have awesome stuff for all ages but if you need something right away I would say anything of the Melissa and Doug brand. The wood puzzles ect. We have most their items and my 4 year old had always favorited their stuff since age 1. But currently he is loving the puppet theater. Anyhow I'm rambling but Melissa and Doug is a great brand, good selection for both genders, good priced. Also if it not family I would limit it to 20$ or so. Otherwise we spend like 30.

I'm confused....do you have twins?  And you've been invited to a singleton's 1st birthday party?  If that is the case, 1 gift (of your choice and budget) is fine.

I think I misread as well, one gift is good.

One small toy that does not require batteries is good. Personally, I still prefer clothes at that young an age - not everyone has tons of clothes... in fact, my boys will be a year old in less than three weeks, and we've just had to start buying clothes because they've outgrown all the stuff we were given (with the exception of some 2T-4T that they don't fit into yet). If we had a singleton, we might have had even less clothing at this point (because a lot of the clothing comes from the novelty of having twins - someone with a singleton might not have nearly as much). If you did opt to get clothes, be sure to ask for correct size and find something season-transitional, like jeans and a long sleeved but light weight shirt.
