Where I live, our "Chinese" places are mostly Vietnamese-inspired foods, but still call themselves "Chinese" foods (which, as my former Vietnamese neighbor/restaurant owner once told me, it was just easier to say it was Chinese food. He's adorable.).
I love the Szechuan Eggplant, General Tso's Chicken, Orange Chicken and of course crab rangoon.
From our Vietnamese joint, I order beef Pho and fresh spring rolls (the kind with shrimp and fresh mint leaves... noms).
What about you guys? I feel like I never really get out of my comfort zone and could use some new foods to fall in love with.

Re: What are your favorite "Chinese"/Asian foods?
Sorry no out of the box dishes I love here. Potato pancakes with the special soy sauce they make if you can find them, spicy green beans, lemon chicken. Now I'm hungry for Chinese food!

I *love* steamed buns - and make them either plain, or with red bean paste (sweet) filling. They traditionally have pork filling, but I don't really like pork and stuff. They do sell them frozen too.
When I was preg before I went on a steamed dumpling binge (I lived across the street from a huge asian market so would pick up like, a 50lb bag every week).
I'm currently hunting a recipe to make vegetarian sticky rice shumai (we had some from a restaurant in NYC's chinatown a couple weeks ago and now I'm hooked). Of course, if you eat meat, regular shumai is also fantastic.
For chinese takeout though, I get either the cold (peanut butter) noodles or general tso. If it's Thai, I go for coconut shrimp or chicken.
I also love Japanese food. Lately I've been craving udon soup and takoyaki. Delicious....
Oooohhh...
Crab rangoon, egg rolls that aren't too greasy or mushy (my last was mushy
), stuffed mushrooms, and General Tso's chicken.

My Blog
There was a chinese place I went to in college that had a dish called crispy chicken and it was awesome! Similar to orange chicken with a kick. I've never found another place that makes it though.
I have the opposite problem with wonton soup! All I want is the beef broth and can only find chicken. I know what I'm doing for lunch tomorrow!
