Saturday fun - GTKY: Do you know anyone famous?

I was nearly front row at a Clay Walker concert and I stood up and blew him a kiss when he was leaving the stage. It was a small venue and the lights were all up so he saw me, laughed and blew a kiss right back. I about died. I've been in love with him since I was a kid. Lol I also had lunch at a sushi place where Donnie Osmond was eating with his family a table over but I didn't talk to him.

Oh I've never met him but there's a bar in my hometown where all the big name country stars used to play in the 80s. George Strait, George Jones, Garth Brooks, etc. My grandmother was a waitress there at the time and got to meet most of them and has tons of pictures. Willie Nelson asked her out once but she pawned him off on her girlfriend because she didn't think he was very cute. Lol

I went to high school with Miss Utah, Jill Stevens. She was a combat medic in Afghanistan before competing in pageants.

The son of my Dad's friend is the bassist for Panic! at the Disco, Dallon Weekes. I've never met him though.

I work in music and regularly meet musician types.. my favorite of all time (and me w/ red hair) is Slash.. he's really such a nice guy.

I met a few times Sonny Rolands ( musician, jazz) he would bring his cat to the animal hospital I worked at as a vet tech. Barney Martin also came in. ( who played the father of Seinfeld)

I pet sat for Peter Trachtenberg ( writer), as well as Mary Gaitskill ( writer) just had a book out a few years ago. Peter has a new book out about his cat, I so have to read since I used to house sit for the cat.

My husband on the other hand before we met. he works for the local railroad and he actually would have to stay at the train station or on the trains when movie companies wanted to use them. Either the trains or Grand Central Station ( I am in New York)

He has met Jim Carey, and many other well know people of course I cant think of their names. He was on the set of Law and Order a few times when they needed to use the trains.

He would say he was like the baby sitter. To make sure that the movie company did not take longer than they were suppose too. So he would sit and hang out.

My dad got to meet Clay Walker when he came to town to do a concert. At the time my dad was a police officer and was helping with the security for the concert. He said that Clay Walker showed up completely wasted and demanded to have a masseuse brought in before anything else was done. My dad wasn't real impressed with him.

My sister was good friends with Derek jeter (Yankees) since middle school, he mentions my sister in his book. I still am friends with his sister, sharlee even though its been a while. Great ppl and funny to think he is famous as we all hung out in our basement almost daily.

I'm a Mets fan. He's a handsome man and a decent player but he seems to be more famous for his butt than his playing. Did people in college ever make comments about his butt/body or did he make comments about it? If so what were they? What did it look like back then?

Sorry if I'm being so forward, but (no pun intended), it is the topic of much conversation in Mets land.

I was a work colleague with Chelsea (daughter of famous political family)...but worked in different offices and only ran into her once at a work function. Ran into her in the bathroom and started to say hi because she looked familiar, but then realized who she was and decided not to bother her lol....one of my work colleagues know Donnie and Marie pretty well and saw Donnie walking around our office one day

DH used to work at a concert venue here in GR, so he has met a lot of well known bands & recording artists, some before they were even really famous. My favorite was Miranda Lambert, he had her sign a poster for me (with my name and everything!).

He was a stage technician, but often had to run "errands" for the bands - I won't go into details, but this was Kid Rock, Lil John, Insane Clown Posse, etc. - so you can use your imagination

I went to school with Jimmy Howard (Detroit Red Wings Goalie). His dad was my math teacher and my brother's hockey coach. Mark Valley's (actor) mom was my nursery school teacher.
